I have been reading the whole of this "theory" and the "theory" I'm getting is the author is all of the common criticisms rolled into one.

It's no more scientific or accurate than a person that gets robbed by a black man trying to find bizarre logic to explain his disdain for all black people based on one failed interaction with another human being. He makes a website like this for fellow losers that fail at dating to agree with him and feed his narcissism.

The author rejects all criticism from women as proven by his criticism page, and/or any LOGICAL reasoning on how he can be a useful member of society let alone more successful at dating. Quite frankly, he's no better than any one of the people that sometimes come to Love & Dating pretending to seek advice but secretly wanting people to agree with them and ganging up on the problem they have instead of approaching it with lateral thinking.

These sorts of people are almost beyond help, but insist on being heard over and over and over about the same topic. Having been to other chatrooms and forums I do see this as being something especially existent in AS folks and wish there was a way to help them see things differently. Alas, I don't think there is. This sort of cognitive thinking is either something you accept, ignore or oppress. I choose to do a mixture of the first 2 and go somewhere else if it becomes abundant. And while I think everyone has a right to their own opinions and express them within reason, I hope this sort of thinking doesn't remain abundant on WP.

You never know, this website might actually be a parody of the people it's supposed to relate to.

Tom Leykis has a point about a lot of things. Perhaps I'll try some of the things he's saying later.

Once you start making excuses by citing the ladder theory then you have lost.

I think there is some truth to this.

Women in my experience def see guys as either "friend material" or "relationship material"

It is very difficult to move between groups. Not impossible; but nowhere near as easy as some people make it out to be.

in my experience, it tends to work like this.

If I consider a girl 'friend' material, she considers me 'friend material'.
If I consider a girl 'relationship material', she considers me 'friend material'.
If I consider a girl 'unattractive', she considers me 'relationship material.

East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet.

I'm unclear whether you are agreeing with the silly website or just this post.

If the site, the fact that you seem to have a "friend material" designation for women negates the "theory" (not theory in the scientific sense by any means) presented.

People are pretty much people.

What a revolting site... I can only hope it's supposed to be cruel/sick humour as opposed to a genuine advice site.

Did you look through the website?

Quote:
There are exactly 3 cases Intellectual Whores has identified whereby a guy and a girl can be friends:

1. The guy is gay
2. The guy does not find you attractive
3. The guy already has a woman much higher than you on the ladder

Neat.

And they work in a nasty way. That's why people like Leykis are popular - they offer views that are actually very valid and in line with common wiring of the human brain.

It's lovely how he says, at some point, "you're not having my children - why should I hold a door open for you?" That is exactly what I think. I'm more inclined to hold doors open for male friends than I am for female strangers. Why? Because my male friends would do the same for me, while female strangers wouldn't. What's in it for me to make life more comfortable for a woman who will just stare blankly ahead and march on to another man? I'm not their houseservant, and I'm not their husband.

Given that you have (as you said on the first page of this thread) not had either relationships or friendships with women, how can you know women's thought patterns and habits well enough to know whether he has a point or not?
