If only others had your kind of optimism...

Well yeah because there are a lot of negative people on this website. They never ever going to see good things in their life if they are keeping up with this stupidity.

The video I made is apparently positive thing to work on. It not even hard if you are being positive. Being negative will make your life worse and miserable. Stop wasting time.

Exactly. It's funny because there's a flame war going on in the adjacent thread over this very subject. Some stupid idiot thinks he can play psychologist and tell me that I'm a miserable negative person for pointing out his negative attitude. It's the other way around, I'd be perfectly happy and fine if it weren't for him. All I was doing was trying to help.

I guess that's the problem though. I'm happy and I want others to be happy so I try to help them, and I'm too goddamn stubborn to recognize a hopeless case.

So anyone who disagrees with you is a stupid idiot? I wouldn't exactly call it a flame *war*. I didn't see JM start swearing and hurling personal insults. If you're really that much happier without hearing what he has to say, no one's forcing you to continue the thread.

EDIT: I see you've deleted your posts, so never mind I guess

Yes I have, so can we drop it please?

I agree, AussieMatty, if you're negative it can drag others around you down. As a naturally depressive person I fight pretty hard to keep upbeat about stuff, but if I make other people depressive also then i feel terrible so I have to try to see the positive side of things. It's very draining to be around constantly negative people.

Indeed. I know I sound sometimes like I'm negative but to be fair I'm actually quite an upbeat person. However, misery loves company, and when I have to put up with negativity around me, my level of optimism begins to drop. Thankfully most of my friends are the positive, optimistic type, and Kyuuchan very much so. As long as I'm with them things get better. For now, though, I'm trying to practice a facade of apathy to deal with negative people. To quote Kyuuchan "I'm training myself to voluntary shut down my give-a-damn process."

Ah the apathy facade. Works well for a number of processes. Would work better for if I wasn't such an emotional sponge but there you go. I try to follow the Dalai Lama as a good example of not caring about negative people, but my idols are all politicians who care a lot so I tend to follow them unfortunately haha

This is off topic, but your signature, Roxas, says that something's happening on the 29th of July 2012. What's the big event/celebration?

Actually, that needs to be updated, and July 29th is (was) the current date. The countdown is merely the number of days left from the date till the big event. Now as far as what that is... there's someone I've missed greatly this summer, but she will be returning to my hometown on August 23, 2012. The countdown is merely showing the time remaining until that happy reunion.

And Temple Grandia as well. She is tad smart about asperger's. To be honest. If you follow the society, you most likely to face consequences about negative and poor attitude. In the societal lifestyle, you find millions of people in that group have poor attitude. Would you rather live like that?
