I sit back in my chair and am surrounded by beautiful women all making me sandwiches of different types and fighting each other over whose I sample first

Making sandwiches for Vigilans, then getting in a fist fight so he'll sample mine first!

Take her out to a ball game.

A baseball game, to be specific.

Think about it a moment -- you're sitting next to each other, side to side, looking out at the game. When you talk, you don't have to maintain eye contact. And much of the time, you don't talk all that much, but sit back and enjoy the game.

I don't know what I was thinking before, because this idea is obviously far superior to the one I had in mind.

You, sir, have a brilliant mind.

To me, the best kind of date is meeting in a city park with a walking trail and talking a little bit about ourselves, favorite music, TV shows or movies, places we have been, anything we both have in common or are interested in. Taking a nice walk and holding hands (if she likes it). Then going to a coffee shop or fast food place to eat and talk more. I like to end it with a kiss (if it went well). I met one woman that was living with her cousin and didn't have a car, so I had to go to her place first and we all talked a while, then to the park and later to a Mexican restaurant, then watched two DVDs while holding hands before I left around midnight! Another one I met at the city swimming pool because it was June (in the south) and too hot for any walking!

i wouldn't feel comfortable holding hands or kissing on a first date.

my first date with my husband was coffee at denny's. simple. low key.

I don't get dating. I never done the dating thing with my current or my previous girlfriends. My idea of a typical date would be something we both enjoy that's romantic

Yeah, I don't either. But I get the feeling that, at some point, I'll be expected to. Though, I feel the same way.

I didn't either with the first three women I met. I was too scared to try it! Then I met one that contacted me first and made all the first moves on me. We didn't even agree to date at first because she could barely walk. But when she did meet me, she liked me so much we wound up sleeping together in a few weeks. Every weekend for the next 3 months. After that it got so much easier! Women appreciate that too! I was just lucky to meet one like that early on. But I always talk online quite a bit and often become facebook friends before meeting anyone in person. So it's not like a "blind date" or one you just met in person somewhere that know little about.

All of my ideal first dates require me to be more outgoing and less socially anxious than what I am currently capable of.

I guess my ideal date would be one in which I felt I could actually talk and laugh and not feel like I'm fading into black hole. So, beyond that, I wouldn't be very picky.
