One determines success by what a person is looking for.

I dont think wolfheart has stated that he is looking for a relationship at the moment at any point

Perhaps but it can also be seen as an indicator that no one wants to hang around for long no matter how impressed they are from the outset.

You seem to really have a problem with my methods, why do you assume that everyone is looking for monogamy, a white picket fence or marriage? I'm not doing and showing these methods for myself, I'm showing it so guys on here can use them.

Let's just say the number of messages has almost doubled and I now have 40 unsolicited messages.

I'm not an advocate of marriage or monogamy. I just think you seem to be more focused on numbers than actual people. And so what re 40 unsolicited messages - I've had triple that on Zoosk and as I'm not going to subscribe (ie pay money to sign up fully) none of them will be getting any reply. Most are evidently too thick to work out that's why I'm not replying. Only 2 men out of over 100 have worked out they need to insert their email address in a hidden form into their message. So it's a good way of filtering out all the stupid ones!

A lot of messages on dating sites just irritates me, it makes it hard to focus on individual women for me. I guess if having tons of messages strokes ones ego then they can have at it; but I'm with you on that one, numbers can be pretty meaningless...

I wouldn't mind if a lot didn't look like grandads! I'm only 46 and the idea that these men think I'd be up for it makes me shake my head in wonderment at the male ego! Lol They need to take note - we all want younger looking, not just them!

That's hardly relevant as you are a woman, the ratio of men is far higher and women get tons of random sex or boring messages. Any woman can put a photo up and get a ton of responses, if I put up a photo of an average woman on a dating website tonight, I can guarantee you that it would get a lot of messages. It's a completely different ballgame for men and women, that's what you need to realize.

By the same token you need to realise the messages you get are purely based on how you look and nothing to do with personality so enjoy it while it lasts as when you get older your 'personality' will not be sufficient to attract people. Also I don't think the ratio of men to women is that different, it's just custom for men to approach women first and men often want just sex more than women hence they cast their net wider.

I have an interesting and humorous profile so you are clearly making a misjudgement plus men mature better with age, look at some older male actors. Men are considered attractive well into their older age in their acting career whereas they prefer women to be younger.

I make Christian Gray look like something from the Teletubbies. I have a black belt in witty banter. I look like James Dean but far cooler. I am not afraid to eat pasta with ice cream. I'm a professional at spooning and give out world class cuddles. I google random things and call myself a genius. I won a dance off with Michael Jackson and I consistently beat David Hassellhoff at Arm wrestling. Brad Pitt stole my red jacket for the filming of fight club. I'm a fruit ninja and I make amazing smoothies. David Cameron has declared my photos as top secret. I know the location of every item in the supermarket. Basically, I rock.

Forget coffee, I'm always looking for something fun to do if it's going to the cinema, the gym, destroying dance floors, I'm game, go hard or go home is my motto.

I have that written as my self summary.

Lol oh dear....

Commenting in depth on your profile might get me in trouble with the mods

It's cliche city just for starters though

And 'I rock'?? Are you American or something?

And if you think men get better with age you need to see some of the photos I've been sent LOL

A few actors look ok as they get older but generally everyone's looks suffer with age plus most actors end up having plastic surgery and/or botox these days so it isn't even a realistic representation of the ageing process any more.

Nah, it's the personality in large part. To a point, your personality determines how you look. IE, he could have posted pictures of himself in a Mario shirt after having not showered for a week, bad haircut, pasty skin, etc. But because he's self confident (or maybe arrogant, but I can't judge people's hearts and intentions) he changes his appearance and looks nice. If we're using the 1-10 scale, I think most people that are, say, 3 or 4, can easily get themselves to 6-7 unless their face is burnt off or some kind of other tragic thing like that. But, if you're already naturally a 5-7 then you end up a 9-10 by just taking care of yourself. In most cultures, the confidence is what wins the women.

Now as far as longterm relationships. That's on Wolfheart to answer for himself. I know in my case, I'm not horrendous looking (no six pack, though, but pics of me are in members only pics thread,) and various girls have expressed interest in me (though I'm usually quite oblivious to the body language and double meanings to many things like that.) But, I don't feel like anyone would like me longterm. I could probably fairly easily go to a club or bar and "act" and pick up chicks, but I want this fabled thing called love, and I want a girl to like me for how I really am, just not how I could force myself to act for a few hours. But, if I wanted to, I think I'd be pretty good at basically screwing chicks for sport. My religion also kinda wouldn't take kindly to me doing that kinda thing, either, so there's that. If Wolfheart is happy with the arrangement of screwing chicks for sport, I guess good for him, but yeah. I don't want such an arrangement, as appealing as it sounds sometimes, whether or not it makes me "beta" or whatever the hell. However, Wolf, like most people, may eventually just "settle down." Nobody knows.

The point of his post is right, though, numbers game does work.

I have very little faith in most females because those type of idiotic profiles do attract the majority of them quite well.

He's right, on dating sites, you simply cannot compare your message experience to a man.

i agree you can't compare men and women. women get exponentially more first messages than men. even Woflheart's method is essentially still sending the first message.

though you also can't compare young people to older people on dating sites.

ok - second edit - i was actually reading a graph incorrectly. prospects for both men and women getting messaged on dating sites decline after age 30.

2. I'm not spamming any one person with several repetitive messages, meet me is a legit feature and there is no stated limit.

are you allowed to use a spambot in the meet me feature?

yes, but out of the "tons" of replies, how many are ones that you would have contacted yourself (estimated)? 1/10? 1/4? 1/2?

You conveniently have a story for everything involving the integrity of women, Lex. I stand corrected! Though, I'd like to think they wouldn't all talk. I wouldn't say the tool is a spambot as such by the way...but a Macro program of any kind has the potential to be used for spam emails or spamming in general. If advertising yourself the same way over and over could be considered spam advertising, then I guess it could be considered spam advocacy!

Worth remembering this method doesn't guarantee success, only results. You have to keep a person's interest and achieve what it is you are looking for in talking to them to count as success IMO. I also have the same questions as Lex for Wolfy. I won't say anything out of line here, but I've noticed a recurring theme, Wolf. I'm happy that you are confident about yourself but you might want to look at the "why is confidence bad?" thread and take some notes.
