I wouldn't recommend that, she'll stereotype you as your average bud light guzzling jock.

I would recommend that.

I love that method of thinking. :-)

If I had to wear a suit, I'd be fine with it.

Really real huge T-shirt and really big ugly looking navy blue trousers and horrible looking shoes and a big fat body and a horrible harido.

Well, WTF were you expecting? I mean, honestly.

I would wear some sort of suit if I could.

Dress well! Jeans, shoes (not trainers), a casual shirt unless it's an afternoon date and then a T-shirt which have not been worn before (ie. newly washed) and Deodorant!! !! So many guys don't wear it and they have such bad BO.... you don't need too much aftershave but DEO is like the saviour of all dates.

As for girls, I always wear a dress, I just think it makes me more feminine since I'm so tall and I like to put a bit of perfume on too

To be honest I think the smell of someone is the most important on the first date, so to see the hair isn't greasy, the body is clean and washed and there's a hint of aftershave/perfume - that's the most important! (But that is just me!!)

^^^ You actually get guys showing up for a date STINKING??? It's gotta' be a culture thing... "my sexy smell! Girls love those manly pheremones!"

*barf*

I had a gal show up in sweats to a 1st date... I mean - really? You cared that little about a date with me that you couldn't even bother to get dressed?? Yeah - I feel really valued by you... :?

Well, I live in London, we use the tube all the time, we can get sweaty under the armpits but then if you're coming straight from work pleeeeease just put on some DEO.

Like this:

I could wear a cape too, if it were a formal date. :P

In all honesty, I would probably wear dress shoes, jeans and a polo shirt. If it were cold, I would wear a blazer and a dress shirt, going for a more "business casual" look. :? That is the way I normally dress, anyway.

Nice jeans, and a button down shirt. A survey of females in their 20's showed that a majority of women expect at least a collared shirt.

I'll typically wear a collared shirt and jeans for a standard, casual date. Just a t-shirt and shorts if we're doing something active though. Anything fancy and I'll dress up a bit more in khakis and a button-down, but I hate doing that lol.

Yeah, I've never understood how anyone would *need to be advised* to use deodorant...

I wear a shirt with a sweater, or the shirt with a cardigan and a jacket, or a trendy t-shirt with a jacket, sometimes with a scarf, plus jeans and a pair of matching shoes. I put on some quality perfume too, enough for it to be noticed but not enough for it to be overbearing (two or three spritzes do the trick)

EDIT: A pair of matching chairs? WTH!

It's been so long that I can't remember. I would probably try to find clothes with a minimum of holes in them and no stains. I may even get fancy and wear something other than flip flops...like say sneakers. In all honesty, I would likely go all out and buy a new tee shirt at the local Wal Mart, and maybe even a new pair of shorts! if she was really special (well... at this point any female meets that description) I would also have my mom cut my hair before the date. I'd even put the passenger's seat back in the Geo or clean out the pickup truck for the occasion.
