What is the best way to let someone know that you like them?

After a while, maybe. I'm not sure that's always the best bet with someone you hardly know.

If they had AS, then definitely. No point in trying to be subtle as it probably wouldn't get noticed! But with NTs it's worth "testing the waters" in a gentle way first, just to see if they're open to the idea of a relationship.

Well, yes, someone you knew already as a good friend. Forgot to add that! I told someone I like them when I hardly knew them, and that frightened them.

Not bad advice, if only I could get myself to do it. Unfortunately I first tend to go over it in my head, and right up to the 3000th way I've thought to say it, it sounds absolutely horrible. Maybe that 3001st way is the one, I just give up on good ol' 3000.

To be honest, I have no clue on this one. So far (and unfortunately not so good at the end of the day) its all been initiated by the women.

Good god, if I ever get to the point where I attempt that, and it worked as you say, I will do everything in my power to do research and get a paper written on it and submitted to Science. You will definitely be included as co-author.

Wait wait, was that a mistype that should have been more out of (perfectly legitimate and potentially widespread) jealousy? Or was it correctly typed, and due to the overall awesomeness of such a situation? Both answers are perfectly reasonable, I just wanted to make sure I got it right.

No but it took me a cople of days to actually got to the point to have the guts to call the mother of my three children. Darn, she was from meeting her, drunk as a whatever what you in your local are call a drunk person to say it frankly the just one single person i've ever marry. And dont blort about that. It's my fact. Not your fact.

I like the idea that, if they have AS, you can be direct. But how would you know? There have been people I thought I could be direct with, and then they freaked out.

So... now I'm in a phase where I am very cautious with what I say to people. It feels awkward and stilted, like I am always watching myself. It's like emotional constipation. I don't like it, but the alternative is to be hurt a lot.
