Valentines Day sucks because its a reminder you have nobody while everyone else has somebody and you get that moment of wanting someone but it never happens.

What about those people who are with someone, but wish they could be with someone - almost anyone - else? Didn't think of them there, did you? :)

Happy Valentine's Day.

I'd rather someone treated me special every day instead of just on one day because the calendar dictates. Bring me something special on March 12th or April 20th how bout July 25th...

Valentine's Day is the day after my birthday. I hate it. Two consecutive days to remind me of how little I've accomplished and how much of a loser I am.

When you are single, Valentines Day is like being an extra in a corny commercial.

I never hated Valentine's Day. There is a lot of red and brown food. They are my favorite. That explanation will only make sense on an Autism forum.

I was a bit sad in HS seeing girls and boys walk around w/ their mushy gifts, but I had/have worse things to be depressed about.

I never saw it as much, its mostly just annoying to have things randomly turned to hearts and I feel I'm getting less candy since its in a new were shape.

They should make broken heart shaped candies for us single folk!

Just buy yourself some chocolates and cry into them. I suggest just having a decent takeaway and a hand shandy instead.

Personally, I think a birthday or an anniversary is more meaningful. Valentine's Day truly is just an excuse to demand lots of expensive things..
Like last year, I will celebrate it with my V-Day hating friend, two bags of brownies, some sour candy, and a tub of ice cream.

Tut tut.... wait until afternoon of the 14th and they should be on sale. ;)

Like Easter - beware of the chewy, chalky low-grade garbage they pass off as "chocolate".

I might aim for the good stuff once half-price. ;)

Uhhhh... why the hell would I hate Valentine's Day? It's on a thirsty Thursday this year! Dollar mixed drinks and sad single girls at the bar! hahahaha j/k (kind of)

But in all seriousness, why begrudge other people their happiness, or as I'm sure is the case with a lot of couples, fake happiness? Despite being single my whole life, and never particularly enjoying that fact, I've never had any particular disdain for V-Day... especially when I see the number of couples that break up as a direct result of it
