I love flowers! My favorites are gardenias, but roses are just as good.

FTD will deliver anywhere in the world you know. hint hint

I love flowers! You can't go wrong with fragrant ones, unless the girl has an allergy then you shouldn't.

I love flowers, and greenery in general. My favorite gift was a bamboo tree though--it was beautiful and lived for years. With my black thumb, that was nothing shirt of a miracle.

Plantable seed confetti would be far more interesting and less damaging to the environment.(I'm talking about the industry, not the soon to be dead/smelly flowers) Maybe flowers PICKED BY HAND would be sweet.

We had those as one of our wedding favors!

ETA okay I just saw the page, not those but something similar, was a wedding favor. (Handmade paper with embedded seeds. The whole paper could be planted later.)

We did not have any rice or confetti throwing that I recall. We did not have a line of people. We had photos being taken, and during that most people left to freshen up before the reception began. The wedding was sort of a formal thing but also geared toward making the guests' day easy.

As long as they're not stolen from the cemetery.

Love them. I got my first (ever from a man) carefully selected flowers from my boyfriend last week. Its such a personal gift when they are chosen solely for you. But of course not every woman feels this way, but a lot of them do

A sentence keeps reverberating in my mind when I see something like this thread: Jewels cost more than flowers.

Its about what is appropriate for the occasion. If I was bought gifts solely because they were expensive I would appreciate them less. Lavish shows of affection have their moments.

I don't really care one way or the other about flowers. Actually at this point real flowers would be a bad thing in my house. The only place they could go is on the porch. I have a cat that I think would eat real flowers if he had access to them.

Some women like traditional gifts, some don't. I remember listening to talk radio once and getting mad when they were saying something like "don't get her a big screen tv, that would be for you, get her jewelry, she'd rather have that." I usually don't wear jewelry and would rather have the tv.

The best gift a man ever bought me was a pet rat. I like rats.

Yep I've noticed this also. I had one friend who gave a girl (a mutual friend) flowers on their second date, she told him it was creepy and they never saw each other again. Later, that same girl got flowers from her boyfriend a few months later, and said it was the sweetest thing ever.

It probably has something to do with your username. You are aware that blue roses are very rare. It's rumored that they can only be purchased with 3 dollar bills. Not that you aren't worthy and deserving of them of course :)
