Easy Solution:
If you can't remember to put the toilet seat down afterwards...........you don't deserve the priviledge of standing up when you pee. I'd be kind of pissed too, tbh.
You clearly aren't capable of handling such a task responsibly and should just sit from now on. It's good thinking time and you've eliminated the issue outright.
