Oh, so are we talking "having sex with a hot guy with a crap personality" or "dating a hot guy with a crap personality"? When I was younger I had a short-lived fling or two with some really hot guys - but I had no interest in turning it into a long-term, serious relationship.
I'm sure there are plenty of women, just as there are plenty of men, who only care about what their partner looks like. Whether it is for a one-nighter, casual dating, or a serious relationship, there are always going to be people (of both genders) who are most interested in good looks. Perhaps even solely interested in good looks.
I've known a lot of men (of all ages) who can only get turned on by an utterly gorgeous woman, and don't give a rat's ass about their personality. I've had a lot of men like this as platonic friends - they long for someone with a brain and a decent personality to talk to (hence, the reason they were friends with me), but they would only "date" the serious hotties.
Women, I think, if they're going to be shallow about it, will go for some combination of looks and money/power.
Both of these tendencies are evolutionarily programmed. Men want to hook up with the best vehicle for perpetuating their DNA (i.e., beauty). Women want to hook up with the best vehicle for protection of her and her offspring (i.e., perceived power, whether it be physical strength or financial strength).
I think the consensus among the WP ladies, however, is "NO, I would not date a hot guy with a crap personality."
My conclusion is that all of us at some point in our lives may very well go for form over function (looks over personality), but as we "mature," we are probably going to place much more value on function/personality.
