Don't let the thought "an attractive person is flirting with me" to confuse itself with "a person I want to date is flirting with me", because then you leave the door open to all kinds of crap you don't need to deal with.
I mean, I could be entirely wrong and you really do like the guy, but given that you're placing him as next best alternative to someone you already want, I don't think thats the case. With relationships, settling for second best is ironically not the second best thing to do (and its certainly not the best).
Trust me, I know all about dating someone for the sake of dating...never again.
As horrid as it sounds, I kinda want to date both of them, but I do like my footy player more. Mainly because I've known him longer. The air-con guy is really nice (and very cute).
