I've been living alone for years. I don't want people messing with my stuff or me. Sometimes, even a stray nasty comment can really annoy me and cause me to withdraw. I couldn't imagine having no privacy or space to withdraw and recharge. Yea, it gets lonely at times. But I prefer to concentrate on being good to the friends who have saved me over the years and been there for me. My romantic relationships have not been good, so I've reached the point where I approach everyone as a friend. If I meet someone, that's fine. But the less time I spend dealing with an exclusive relationship, the more time I have for everyone else.
