One and the same... You mean to tell me that as an Aspie, you have so many friends that you can't bear to be disconnected from them for the brief time that you travel from point A to point B? Pay phone booths are much more realistic and much, much less expensive than ear dildos.

Well, as an aspie, I do have some friends and there are no payphone booths anymore and i'd much rather get a call on my cell than a beeper and have to go find the phone booth. Do you know who usually calls me? My kids. Is THAT a problem for you too? "Mom, you're at Walmart, get me a Lunchable" or "Mom, you're at Save more, go by Talli's house and pick her up on the way home" "Mom! Where are you!! !! I need the van now!! !" How is that so upsetting to whatever little "I don't have people to call me so I hate those who do" agenda???

This topic completely derails the thread...

I have to agree. I really should not have replied to that one at all, but I am too tired from lack of sleep, aggressive and cranky today and the antagonism where I live over the past few days has really put me on a hair trigger. Looking at this page (page 2), it looks like the real meaning of this thread has REALLY been derailed... its worse than trolls on usenet. I see a piece of another reply on this page I would like to reply to (the IT pro repairs - I used to do the same thing via 5000 mile landline), but I will resist the temptation to reply. Maybe tomorrow will be better once Bah-Humbug day is gone for another year. Logging out now.

I prefer to celebrate the 15th of February. It's when you can buy the candy they sell for cheap just because it's heart-shaped and Valentine's is over! Mmm, sugar. :P

When I worked at WalMart they would reduce the candy & things the night before so there would be none left at the end of the day so they could put out other stuff in those spots. I hated being alone for vDay but working at WalMart made me hate it even more because I had to clean up around those isles which looked like a herd of bulls had stampeded through

It does taste good but I must limit the candy I eat since I am diabetic.... Halloween is my only exception.

About an hour ago I went to the store to get a few items I could not get yesterday at my smaller store (believe it or not my main Publix discontinued selling all spray deodorant due to lack of sales... must be some smelly people walking around). When I walked out of the store, a man about 50 went walking quickly around me in a big hurry carrying a bouquet of flowers. I don't know if he delayed the day due to the ice storm here (it was pretty much gone yesterday anyhow) or if he totally forgot the holiday or if he bought some other gift while forgetting the flowers and got an earful over it. NT's do have their problems, don't they?
