I do have to disagree with the "so many great online dating guys" opinion, though. I've met a few applicable people off of the internet, but for the most part they seem very... ugh. Horrible, in fact. I think this is because what I long for most in a partner(s) are the traits of kindness, intelligence, and a strong sense of willpower+actually putting their intelligence to good use. Being somewhat attractive and fit (healthy) doesn't hurt, but I still find very-fit people to be a bit gross and once again, boring. I'm inspired by their glistening pecs, but I just can't be bothered with them
Hey, I finally found someone on this forum, that lives in the same state as me. Hello *waves*. Now in terms of the OP, I'm sure I'll get flack for this, but if you want to attract a certain type of guy and you willingly admit you are addicted to junk food, why not work on your diet first?
That's not what she is saying...

Regardless, she admitted her diet is poor, which implies she knows it needs improvement and has low self esteem from being over weight.

I think you're talking to the wrong person. From what I recall it was Kezzstar saying she thought she had a bad diet, not BioBird.

to CommanderKeen: I similarly wave you a "hello"! hahah MD is a p chill place. More people should consider living here ;)
(also, I don't know if you've had the pleasure to discover all the exciting fossil finding locations around here, yet! If not, OMG. So many a fossil)
trollcatman: I can understand the confusion, but I think that when CommanderKeen said "in terms of the OP", he was referring to Kezzstar. I personally can't stand most fast-food for both moral and health reasons (though I do admit it to be delicious and I understand the addiction or want for it), so even if he was mistakenly referring to me, yeahhh no. haha my only problem is I forget to eat for hours on end. That's probably worse for my health than eating too much of an "unhealthy" thing, honestly. ughhh if only I had an unlimited amount of green smoothies, then all would be well

Yeah I was referring to Kezzstar when I said OP lol. As far as people moving to Maryland, eh the heavy taxes drive people away.

Yeahhh they tend to do that. :/ If you're in the Posh Ass Zones it's even worse. Actually, where are you, if I may ask? Not like, zip code or anything, just curious because this place is so diverse and every block is like a different world.
Also I totally realized I'm commandeering this post in favor of MD platitudes. Maybe pm would be better so as to not clutter the topic. hahah
I'll change my diet when I'm good and ready thank you. Trust me, you change your diet to get a boyfriend and you're starting on a dangerous slippery-slope - any changes you make to yourself have to be for you, otherwise you lose motivation and it will never work. That's why my walking works, because every afternoon for an hour or so after work I am the happiest person alive, and I do it because it makes me happy.
If it means I remain single then so be it - easier being single than it is to constantly feel like you're failing someone elses standards.

Not yet mentioned here and also a cliché, but you may find that a lot of the people's supposed best features are a front on their profiles. That photo might be four years old and just a few months before he was dumped and got on a terrible Buckfast habit. That sentence about spending the weekends escaping into the country to a little hideaway with his mates might translate to slobbing about in a Peterlee caravan park. The exciting new project he's dealing with at work might be trying to convince a local park to install a couple more benches. That extra language he speaks might be a C-grade at GCSE level 10 years ago. I'm informed there's a lot of deceit in online dating. Try writing to some, then meeting them and see how much and how more you find from there.

That's actually a really good mindset to have. One should definitely change for ones own betterment and under ones own terms.
Hope everything goes well on your dating adventures, though. Maybe things will start going better for the both of us, regarding that field ;)
