Please also check if there is a scientific reference when you read articles as they often misunderstand results of experiments

Not sure I trust mtv.com as a valid source for articles on scientific fact.

David Hume proved that science itself is illogical, and he hasn't been disproved. Everything is love. Love is all. Everyone is made of unconditional love.

But love is just chemical reactions muahahahaha!

Saying love is "just" chemical reactions, implying that somehow diminishes its worth, is like considering any scientific theory discredited because it's "just a theory".

So what though...most feelings/emotions are chemical reactions.

Yes.

And most emotions are associated with chemical reactions, as has already been mentioned. I don't think it makes them any less real. Unless people are expecting magic to be responsible for our feelings, I don't see how it makes any difference if our feelings are associated with chemical reactions in the brain.

I know for sure that it exists and that it is very enjoyable. Also, I think oxytocin is a sign of love, not the cause. Just like science has mixed-up cause and effect before, so have they done this time. Because I know a crush is caused by the behavior of girl, not chemicals in my brain. If chemical reactions in my brain caused me to get a crush on a random girl I would know that for sure, and it doesn't work that way.

Strange. Why would polyamorous voles or humans feel less love? That makes little sense.

Actually it does work that way....and no you wouldn't know one way or another, the feeling having the crush gives you is a chemical reaction. Doesn't make it less real but if its not a chemical reaction what do you figure it is? If having a crush is an emotion/feeling based feeling then it is a chemical reaction.

Enjoyment is also a chemical reaction if you enjoy love that indicates chemical reaction.

I say, science does not exist.

It is entirely dependent on the assumption that there are two of anything. If we look close enough, we find everything is unique. You can not count reality.

It is a fantastic number game (in our heads) that can never match reality.

In time, it will become clear that using a game to define reality is the biggest thing holding us back.

Maybe if you define "holding us back" as including enabling us to make devices like the one you used to post here, rather than continuing to make crude pictures on cave walls and to die young without even knowing there are people living more than a hundred kilometres away from you, much less telling them science is holding us back.

Science works. That's the only thing preventing it from being completely drowned out of existence by all sorts of irrational but seemingly appealing nonsense.

Well, I do know the causality. Like some girl does something on day 1, and then I feel the crush on day 2. Thus, I know that what happened on day 1 was causing the crush on day 2. That's how it always operates.

Sure. I'm not denying there is a chemical reaction, only the causality of it.

So if the worlds water supply were to be tainted with a drug that inhibits the release of oxytocin, people will no longer fall in love? I sense an evil mad science experiment should be conducted for world domination! Muahahaha!*puts on his lab coat and goggles*
