Eh...sex ratios tend to balance out 1:1. Even in nature you have those kinds of tendencies. Realistically it's possible for there to be someone for everyone.

In practice, no, I agree that this doesn't happen, at least not 100%. The issue is we can't know who will end up with someone and who won't. So it's not very helpful to live as though we have no hope of finding someone. If you don't at least TRY, you guarantee you'll never end up with someone.

I'm fat, bald, and ugly, and I'm doing just fine. If you want a SO, do what people with SO's do. It's that simple. I've been quasi-coaching cricketman. I'd like to have seen more progress by this point, but he's really come out of his shell. Things like that build confidence, and just taking little baby steps at a time can go a long way towards making you attractive to moos.

Oh dear, sounds like you have had some bad experiences. I already posted what I think on the topic, but while agree that there is not someone for everyone, I don't think hate and anger is the way to respond to it. There is nothing wrong with living alone, if you want to be angry be angry at society for creating the false belief, not the women who are also burned by it.

Yeah poor women who make so much money off us alone and yet still find the time to dress up like a bunch of vaginas and act as if they are the only victims on the planet. So oppressed in the first world compared to men.

I know there are women out there who have traits that make them less desirable in mainstream dating... but a few of us actually find those same traits attractive.

The harsh truth is, that there in fact NOT someone for everyone. That might have been true 80 years ago, but definitely not in the increasingly narcissistic culture we live in today. People seem to be looking for happiness objects, instead of human beings they can connect with, because their ego's are so inflated by social media among other things. Humans used to get married even when they were poor, ugly or had other "faults". In the future, marriage will only be for the social and economic elite. We see this trend already, and I don't see it getting better.

I think most people are guilty of it to a certain extent, myself included, just saying it how I see it.

It IS sad though, there is something a bit romantic about working class people getting married, making families, starting small family businesses... But it doesn't happen that way anymore. I suspect that the working class of my generation will largely end up alone.

I'm surprised to be reading this because in my area its mostly the working class who get married young. I'm one of the few working class in my area breaking that mold
