We should compile a list called, 'The Advantages of Love With An AS Partner Over an NT Partner."

Let me start:

1. Honest
2. You always know what your AS partner thinks
3. No Game Playing
4. Reliable
5. On Time (my husband gets stressed if he's a couple of minute late - is this AS?)
6. Loyal
7. Independent (I never have to put up with my husband saying, 'I'm bored'. He is happy in his own world of stamps and soccer).

Anyway, I'm sure I'll think of more later. My 3 year old is making a lot of noise so I'm not 100% focused.

I don't agree with these generalities:

1. Yes and no. Definitely have
been with a woman who I'm sure
was AS, but wasn't honest. I've
been known to redefine the word
over my life, so I don't see what
I once was as truly honest.

2. Uh, yeah ok. My wife and I
(both probably AS) had no clue
what the other was thinking much
of the time. Yeah, we finished one
another's sentences, but there were
deep down issues that neither could
express.

3. No. I'm an avid gamer. :P As to
emotional games, I'm pretty classic
passive aggressive. And if that ain't
"game playing," I don't know what is.

4. I give you this one. But, not necessarily
in a good way.

5. Damned straight. And intolerant of
those who aren't.

6. Not sure. Seemed like it, until my
wife cut me completely out of her life,
based upon a few hurtful words.

7. No. We both were clingy as hell, at times.
And bitchy about the intrusions at others.

Sorry if my generalisations are wrong. I am new to the world of Asperger's (hadn't even heard of it 1 year ago!)

But anyway, that's my husband's qualities.

He's also very good in bed - is that an Asperger's trait?

No, I tell him.

So I thought I'd post to say he's fantastic.

He has Asperger's and is the world's best husband!

That's all.

Poor you! This is a post for The Haven if I've ever heard one.

Kilroy, from what I've
seen of you, your curiosity
and willingness to please
would be likely virtues in
bed.

Yeah, but I take it that your standards
aren't of the impossible nature. You'll
find someone. Though, I'd try and get
rid of some of the puppy dog attitude,
as that might cause difficulty in holding
them.

ohh at home-I'm an ass hole
(just like you sir-only worse )

just kidding...
my standards...wait I have standards
keeping someone-well I don't have much hope for that
but the point was I am quite unattractive-and the world wants the jocks

One can be 'friendly' without what I'm seeing.
I don't quite no how to put it, but I've often seen
women feeling pestered by someone who exhibits
what you seem to. Might be the root of the "too nice"
issue. Just bending too far over, and not standing
up for enough. I liked when you showed some spunk
with the suprastar discussion, but sometimes you just
have to let go with your feelings, even more. All the
while, being in control of them.

Hmm...standards could be a problem. Look, if you're
hideously ugly, or even think that you are, it's
just not going to be possible to get the hottest action
around. Ah, there are ways (weight lifting and such)
to improve confidence and appearance, but
your own view is more important.

Keeping? I don't know. I just fear that the way that
you are, the kind of person you would attract would
be a user. Which is why I suggest more confidence
AND some spine.

And no, the world doesn't just want jocks.

I hope you don't take any of this too harshly.
I don't know how to express it, in a less callous
manner. But, I've seen guys take way too much
crap for just being 'nice'.

Oh, and I'm not always an ass. That's not what I'm
suggesting at all. Just have some core, which you
aren't willing to surrender.
