More thoughts that my mind keeps telling me

Does it go from average to handsome or what would you both describe it as?
Still average in my opinion, but better. Don't let that depress you though; I'm sure there are plenty of women that have different physical preferences than me. In the eyes of some you're probably very handsome, just like some people call me ugly and some call me pretty.
Besides, average and even ugly people can get partners if they find someone with a matching personality.

Is it my thinning hair and my facial fat? I am considered overweight for a male of my height, which is 5'11. I used to exercise at some gyms but I stopped because my body didn't seem to respond. I will admit I didn't eat the best but you'd think I would atleast look more toned. A lot of the rednecks and other hot headed guys in the culture I live in (Ghetto thugs, sports jocks, and even religious morons) told me I needed to be an iron pumping jerk or else women would never like me. Even my ex-personal trainer, who was a woman, said the same thing. But the last time I went to college, I saw a really fat guy with a slim geeky girlfriend.
I don't know what you look like but why would some call you ugly? That sounds cruel.

I've actually had someone tell me I looked cute and they were surprised I was single.

You’re not my cup of tea, but seriously, there is nothing about your looks that would stop you getting a girlfriend. You look like a normal guy. I would recommend you smile more.

Is it just my emotions that stop me?

You don’t have to feel wonderful. A smile is much more inviting than a scowl.

I used to hate smiling. For some reason, I thought it made me look stupid. A lot of my old pictures have me looking frowny or tired.

I'm pretty sure it is... ironically, I have the same problems except I'm losing hair from the top of my head instead of the front. Looking at my grandma and her kids I'd say it runs in the family. As for there being no results for your training, it is possible that your body doesn't respond to it the same way that an average person's does, but it's more likely that you expected too much results too soon and/or after too little exercise. Been there, done that. If you aren't dangerously overweight yet want to lose weight, my advice is to forget going on a diet and change your lifestyle, otherwise there's a big chance that you'll just gain it back once the diet is over. Start with small steps like replacing some unhealthy snacks with fruits, vegetables or anything healthier than you eat now. Start eating smaller portions. Don't make them a lot smaller at once, but little by little and your stomach will shrink. And walk more, just walk, even that helps. These are the things I did to lose weight; never bothered to count calories and still got the results I wanted, not to mention my results actually stay in place.
Well since it's mostly been bullies, being cruel was probably the point of it all... and then there are some who have thought I wan't in the hearing distance and those who simply have no filter and say what they think.
