Yeah, it's our world-famous Aspie "lack of imagination" at work.

You're worked up about the most innocuous inquiry made by one pissed teenager to another. If it happens again I think you could do them the courtesy of letting it go. You don't know the intent behind the question and it wouldn't be cool to confront a teenager over something that might just be your paranoia.

I agree with Domineekee.
This was nothing. It would have been spiteful if she says why are you talking to that old/creepy/odd etc (insert anything) dude?
This sounds like you are being a bit too sensitive as you have no idea what she meant and it doesn't matter anyway.

"Studies of first impressions have determined that people don't just judge you quickly. They judge you, literally, in the blink of the eye -- in a tenth of a second to be exact.

That's the central revelation of a recent New Scientist article by Simon Makin (subscription required for the full piece) recapping research in the area. In it, he points to studies that compared people's opinions of election candidates formed from brief glimpses of their photographs to actual election results, and other work comparing lightning fast evaluations of teachers with student feedback after a whole semester of classes. Both were shockingly accurate.

The bottom line? Not only do we make split-second judgments of character traits like trustworthiness and competence, but these impressions are often freakishly correct. "We can accurately judge a person's honesty in only a tenth of a second," declares Makin, though he cautions that such quick assessments can be unfairly clouded by prejudice."

Like Boo said, they are “sausage feats.” They don’t attract the best of people.

Wish I could afford to go to bars

Approaching a woman in a group is usually a bad idea. Not only do they "chit chat" with each other about you (her friends can intentionally, or unintentionally sabotage your attempts to get with her) , it's also harder to get her to focus her attention solely on you.

If you see her again, try talking to her when she is alone.

Why do you keep hanging out at these places?

Bars, especially those that only serve drinks (and maybe pretzels/peanuts, tend to be pretty unsavory places.

I actually like "Sports Bars" better. People are there to watch sports (and maybe act like an idiot), rather than just being there merely to get drunk and act like an idiot. Sometimes, one can enter a trivia contest in one of those places.

You need to stop hanging out at those bars and find yourself a hobby.

CockneyRebel, I think Boo means something vulgar when he talks about sausage fests! Although, your idea is good. A nice cold mug of beer and German sausage, sitting outdoors in the sun!

Sausage fest means a place (or a virtual place) where there are wayyy more men than women. Pubs and bars are usually the case, an average single man becomes a cheap commodity in this situation.

When there were too many women in a club, my friends used to call it "Fishtown".
