There's no such thing as "mansplaining." If another woman had said that to her would it still be mansplaining? Or is correcting people who are wrong just against the rules because I'm a man?

Yeah, you were more into correcting her than getting to know her

That's a big turn off.

It makes you come over as arrogant. Is the definition of RPG a hill you really want to die on?

It was tiny exachange, we don’t know what was the rest of the conversation.

Funny how some of you are suggesting to put women on a pedestal, is it because women have too much options in dating apps so a man has to bite his tongue if one says something completely ignorant?

Suggesting to be super considerate and walking on egg shells when conversing with women = putting them on a pedestal. That’s exactly what it is.

Saying RE is a RPG is like saying The Sound of Music is an action movie.

Ok here’s a funnier one that happened to me in the same fashion of the OP’s story, I don’t remember exactly remember the texting conversation, but I recall we were talking about traveling, and she mentioned Turkey is an Arab country.
So what am I supposed to do? to applaud her ignorance just because she was a potential date? I told her but Turks don’t even speak Arabic but no , she was insisting and arguing how it’s an Arab country. lol
So I showed her a wiki article stating the turkey’s official language and ethnicity. That’s when she probably decided to move on to another man willing to handle her ‘intelligence’.

Men are too culturally trained to tolerate whatever bs coming from a woman just for the sake of being gentlemen (or for the sake to get into her pants?), and this is very wrong.

^ so she was insisting and arguing just like the OP was?
Did you keep texting her or give her the flick?

^ I showed her a wiki article on Turkey, and disappeared, it was a one time tiny exchange.

Some women simply don’t like to be corrected by a man, no matter how nicely he does it (we even have a couple of them here on WP).

Ok what about this one (a different woman), we were talking about animals, for some reason I mentioned penguins as example of acquatic birds, and she was like “but penguin is not a bird!”.

So what a typical man supposed to do here? To put her on a pedestal, bow before her and pray “Ho you are totally correct, penguins are not birds” just for the sake to win a date, right?

Ps. when I asked her why she doesn’t think it’s a bird, she was like “it doesn’t fly, it swims!”, yes with exclamation mark.

So what did she think a penguin was?
A fish?

Why do you care?

Instead , as a man, I was supposed to change the topic and try to get to know her better, right? (as if discovering one's knowledge level is not part of getting to know someone). /sarcasm.

Telling a stupid woman that penguin is a bird is mansplaining, so I should either change my sex before correcting or I just shut up.

I cared because I found it funny, but anyway.

It's not mansplaining to say a penguin is a bird.
The OP put the TL;DR version so I assume he went on and on and on about it.

Oh oh ...what about this one, some years ago, i got invited by my female colleague over a home lunch, and there I met her cute looking older sister, the sister was told that I am atheist so apparently she wanted to have some 'intellectual' debate with me on evolution vs creation:
Oh here how it started: "So are you saying that my grand grandparents were dinosaurs?".

Yet, I wasn't really in mood to debate that with someone who clearly has zero knowledge about, I explained that it's gradual and not as linear how she imagines it, and I had to change topic as nicely as possible.

But I lost all interest in her of course.

Mansplaining is a very stupid term that shouldn't exist in English language, probably invented by some sicko women who hate men and would regard any man debating them as an act of misogyny.

So if a woman debates aggressively with a woman in the same manner, what is it called? Lesbianing? It's like telling that men shouldn't debate with women, and that's so stupid, and sexist really.

A woman talking down to a man doesn't make her a lesbian.

Oops, read that wrong.
No wonder it didn't make sense.

It's probably called shebating.

Mansplaining simply allows women to adopt an attitude of victimhood in every interaction with a man, especially when they lose an debate....and it’s already boring.

Stop using this stupid term.
