Jessica doesn't mean "lonely guys" when she speaks like this.

She means specific people with a specific hateful ideology.

These men aren’t just lonely. I’ve seen a lot of lonely men, and it’s different. These men praise people who murder women (they ususlly call women “foids” or “femoids” to show that they view females as less than human) and they have a thread where they post gory videos of horrible things happening to people. I’ve never opened it, but I read there was a video of a little girl being killed by a camel. They laugh at things like that and say some very disturbing things, and it’s like their forum brainwashes them.

Silent Jessica doesn't often talk like this.

But her feelings are strong. And I'm listening to her.

It has nothing to do with regular "lonely guys." It has to do with a bunch of people who want to do harm to others.

People who think only men can ever have problems are annoying.

Hey gang,

We've recently received word that a group of incels is planning on trolling and spamming WP. As I don't have either the time or the patience to deal with whiny manbabies, the rule of thumb is: if it looks like an incel, talks like an incel, and walks like an incel, it's an incel, and they're getting the boot.

This also includes obvious attempts at spamming which can take a variety of forms, such as creating a bunch of new topics in a short period of time, reviving a bunch of old topics in a short period of time, or posting the same exact thing in multiple threads.

If you spot any of this crap before we do, please flag it.

Thank you.

I think we should just call these people what they are misogynists. Plenty of celibate men are not misogynists.

Some people who disagree with mine and other lonely men’s posts have called us those to try to suppress our voice.

Some people see misogyny everywhere and anything they disagreee with his misogynistic or racist makes me fearful. I’m worried for me and other long term lonely men memebers here :s

Yeah I think people who have experienced misogyny or racism will be socially conditioned to expect it and then everything that might be racist or sexist in their mind will be.

I know what's sly's talking about cuz I've been called that on some forums including this one YEARS ago. The ironic thing is that I'm actually a feminist. Both my 2nd girlfriend & current think so too based on my political views. I was going through a very tough time being lonely & frustrated & posting about things helped me sort things out. Anyways getting back to the trolling that may happen here. I'll be sure to report any trolling posts I see using the report button that's at the bottom right of each post in a thread.

Is it possible to review all new users who come into the site before they're permitted to post, to prevent a flood of trolls?

Looked up what an incel was and found this description on wikipedia:

Quote:
Incels are members of an online subculture who define themselves as unable to find a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one

So - how does that differ from now?

One of the most common questions i've seen over the years here is "how do i get a girlfriend?", along with topics like "boohoo i'm so lonelt", "i have no self esteem to get a girl", "i'm a virgin and i'm going to kill myself"-threads being created over and over instead of just accepting it and doing something with the time instead.

Most people who do commit suicide don't talk about it or post on forums about it, this kind of person just want attention. Ask any shrink.

Most people who kill themselves do it as a spare of the moment thing I believe. These people may be suicidal but still have some hope their life might get better.

If they have autism, and you can't point to a rule that they've broken, "incel" or not, whiny or not, what justification is there for removing them other than your own personal bias? If they have broken any rules, I'd ask that as a moderator you outline what those are so the lonely guys who've been here long before this "incel" notion blew up don't risk treading the same line. What rule did colossalfailure, for instance, break to warrant a ban? If you're going to start banning people arbitrarily without being able to justify the decision with rules they've broken, I don't like the direction this place is headed in, especially if you're going to ban "incel-types" without being specific about the behaviour you'd have to display to be branded as such. If you're going to start doing this, please add new rules then so bans don't seem arbitrary to the casual onlooker

Or maybe it's a cry for help? You're right that people posting about suicide on forums aren't generally going to do it, at least not straight away. Asking for help or putting it out there that you're having suicidal thoughts generally means that you still think there's a possibility of salvation, and as such are more averse to actually going through with the act than someone who's lost all hope, but just because someone's posting on forums about their suicidal thoughts for "attention" today doesn't mean their turmoil won't progress to the point that they actually decide to take their own life in the near future

Neither, those are XFG’s personal cavalry unit.
