I've had hookups on Tinder, but nothing too serious.

I would like to try and AVOID this kind of approach, and meet people in person.

I used aLOT of dating sites including sites for autism & sites for various disabilities & I NEVER even gotten one date. I think some of that is because I have disabilities besides autism & another big factor is that most dating sites have a much higher ratio of men to women. The ratio is even worse on the autism dating sites. There were 10x the number of guys than women on some of the autism sites according to the statistics & searches I ran. Some of that is because Aspergers is thought of as an extreme male brain so women with it are less likely to get diagnosed & can relate better to NT guys than a typical autistic guy can relate to NT women. I think I would of had much better luck online if I could of done the mail-order bride route or took in a woman who needed a place to stay but I didn't have the money & resources for the mail-order bride route & I couldn't take in someone who needed a place to stay cuz I didn't have my own place(things were in the works thou but taking forever, long story). I met my 3 girlfriends on forums, the ladder two were this one. I think my personality can come off better on forums to some women than on dating sites.

how are you making the leap from "taking a woman in" to her being your GF?

The condition would be she would give me companionship & she would grow to love me & I would grow to love her.

That's paternalistic and creepy. But hey, if she agrees at the outset...

Just turned 18 so I tried a couple. Out of a small handful of matches only two actually messaged me back, and one of them unmatched me as soon as he realized I was disabled. So for now I deleted them, may try again in a few months, who knows?
But not a great introduction.
May try some specifically for autistic people, asexual people or christian people, but don't have the mental energy right now.
