CLUE: It was Earl Grey, in the kitchen, with a teacup. 8O

I don’t understand your joke because...

... you are not meant to be understood, you are meant to be loved.

Couldn't have said it better. They have a different frequency.

They'd be a lot easier to love if they didn't bite my head off for f**k all

In that case, what would you say is the single most common denominator in "getting your head bit off"?

I hope you're not implying the sexist idea that all of the women in the Ferret's life have been "hormonal".

Oh please...

As if that stupid Victorian saying “Women are not meant to be understood, but meant to be loved” has no sexist implication, right?

:lol:Lol Fnord, look at yourself in the mirror seriously.

I do, if only to remind myself of my humanity. Try it sometime.

@Nick - After she closed the fridge to stop what she was doing so I could pass , I went into the living room and cursed her out ( she can't hear , she's hard of hearing )

@Sweetleaf - We are both under a lot of stress so the relationship is not in a good way.

I'll just hide in the kitchen next time till she's done , I don't think there is a right answer when my GF is involved
That may be better than how I handle being snapped at as long as she never hears you & you were in an OK mood or did an OK job pretending to be when she came over to you after she was done.

I hear ya on the stress stuff.

Your idea is something I should learn to do in the situation instead of the idea coming to me after. Maybe I should make a separate post about this but my 1st girlfriend had problems getting along with her mom at times & I was able to calm her down & explain how to see things from her mom's prescriptive & how she could better handle situations like that in the future. Their realtionship seemed to get better as a result. However when I was in similar situations with my parents, I was not able to remember & apply my own advice. I would react instead of analyzing & thinking things through.

No marks for taste here either; it was English Breakfast - builder's tea.
