The world being in a bad state, in what sense? Many kids grow up with great lives, many others not so much. So it isn't the same for everyone. We don't all live in the same parts of the world. As for the fate of the world as a whole, that has yet to be determined.

Actually i am rejecting whoever is planning to have a family and kids of their own.

There's a girl who's obsessively chasing me and I keep telling her no because of that; I see no future of that sort.

I like kids. I love being an aunt, but I can't in good conscience bring another life into this world that is falling apart around out ears.

I've never lived in a more fractious time. I've never been more concerned about what us humans are doing to the environment and ourselves. We all have micro plastics in our organs these days.

I won't even consider dating someone who wants children.

I'd like to adopt some day, but it isn't a major focus in my life in the moment. However, I don't know if I'd make a good parent or not. Still, I think about it now and then... about what my future is going to be like. I know that seems rather optimistic, given the current circumstances. As selfish as it is, I like to daydream about one day having a wife and adopting a kid together. No idea if any of that will actually happen. Got to survive this pandemic first. I know that I've never even kissed anyone before or experienced a relationship so maybe I'm just a naive fool. Hopefully one day I will.

Personally, I'm an optimistic nihilist. I don't think that life has any inherent meaning, but that since I'm here I might as well make the most of things. However, I see nothing wrong with people who don't want kids. I'm not fully sure myself. The only part I know is that I'd rather adopt than have a kid biologically. Mainly because the traditional method doesn't appeal. Sure, I could go the IVF route but I'd rather adopt.

Chances are, I'm probably not going to be an aunt. My sister isn't exactly a great fan of kids. She hasn't entirely ruled it out (although has mentioned before about not wanting kids), she made a joke recently about how if she ever had kids, she'd probably remember a sim she's made before with the same name as the kid and would think about how she killed that sim. How most names would be out of the question because of this.

I recall Darwin mentioned once in his famous book that any species that has no struggle of existence (breeding and breeding with nothing slowing their numbers) would eventually dominate the planet; even the elephant which is considered the slowest breeder.
Humans are continuing to reproduce unhindered; we seriously need to slow down.

I wonder why bottled water companies still making plastic bottles; why don’t they use carton box like those used for some juice brands? It has been used for juice since ages yet still insisting on plastic for water. o.O

That’s good if the water is potable. Useless if one can’t drink the tap water.

The water in Rome is extraordinarily tasty. You can drink it almost straight from the fountains. It saved me during 98 degree weather.

It's probably a marketing thing. People want to see how clear the water is. Would be interesting to see how well people would take to cartons of water.

What I am saying is that all our impulses, pleasures, desires are the result of chemical reactions in the brain due to the evolutionary process.

If sentient life evolved from reptiles, I doubt it would be interested in "Tinder" or "Elite Singles", etc

You, I, and every cognizant individual are irrevocably influenced by our genetic coding.
We can transcend some aspects of our humanity, but the basic parameters are with us for life.

The reason for our aggressive territorial/tribalistic nature is predominately due to limited resources, imo.
Look how birds defend their area of influence.
