Wish list:

Great driver (fast, but safe -- not drunk driving)
Can park backwards, pull trailers, parallel park
Drives boats and trucks and snowmobiles
Can fix cars and likes to get his hands dirty

Brushes his teeth

(I know that my standards are ridiculously high. Don’t judge me.)

My exh didn't, even when he went to work. ^

His mother once said to me "He does this to make sure you will love him unconditionally."

He didn't shower either. He only took baths, marinating in his own filth in the bathtub.

Mine didn’t brush his teeth either. Days worth of alcohol breath. Ewww. He wasn’t great about showering or bathing. He made the couch stink, so when I kicked him out, threatening to call the cops (which I should’ve done), I bought a new couch.

That's nasty.

Mine didn't have bad breath that I recall, but he had a layer of visible, white crud on his teeth.
It looked like his teeth were coated in chip dip.

When he left, the first thing I did was run to the deli and buy about half a pound of shaved ham.
He never let me buy it when we were together because it was "wasteful" being shaved thin.

I mentioned it to my daughter the other day and she said "OMG I was never allowed that either!"
(Referring to the time she used to spend at his house.)

When he marinated in the bathtub he'd have a can of Coke and a pack of powdered doughnuts with him.

He drove around with the tail-end of a stuffed cat sticking out of his trunk.
It was called "Earl the Dead Cat".

I can’t pick on taking baths too much. My favorite thing to do in life is read in the bathtub.

I like my baths too -- but not for regular hygiene.
He would even wash his hair in the bathtub by dunking under water.
Then he'd lounge in the water and go to work.

Mine would go for extended periods without washing his hair at all. I think his greasy head is what made the couch stink, and his feet…

Mine kept a collection of boogers behind the headboard.

Why did he do that?

Because he was special, I guess.

I have no idea.

He bragged about it.

He put an injured bird in a paper bag and gassed it with the car exhaust even though it burnt his hand.
He got his friend to step on the gas pedal.

Holy crap, it's all coming back to me.
I didn't realise what I psycho he was.

I think we need a "psycho ex" thread.

"Exists purely in my imagination" seems to be the ideal, at this point in my life...

As far as animals go, mine threatened to kill my dog in a nasty way.

One of my ex boyfriends stole my former dog when he left.
He got drunk and decided to "walk her" out of the car window.
He drove the car and held her lead while she walked beside the car.
It was raining and he was drunk.
He rolled the car into a ditch, on top of her.

*I wasn't there but I heard the police report.
