Most 18 year old girls would consider it weird and creepy to date someone much older than they are. A 30 year old man is going to be considered weird trying to date a 18 year old girl. Yes it’s technically legal but most women that age are dating men around their own age or slightly older.

^ I can image it looks quite differently in small communities, where people already know each other well before starting dating.
Being 19, I had equal footing close friends over 30 in some small circle where I was active. So I wouldn't find it creepy if something sparked there. It just didn't.
In another close circle, my friend married a 39yo when she was 22. Their life situations at that time were much more relatable to each other than you would read from these numbers.

Personally, I feel rather asexual about much older guys but I know girls who don't. Attraction is not a one size fits all thing.
