I agree with that. No one stands out.

That's what I noticed during my numerous trips to Canada. Black people don't stand out. If you live in the states, you'll know what I mean. Definitely different culture in Canada.

It's not about black people. We are so diverse there are just as many Asian, Latino, Indigenous, and Middle Eastern or Eastern European people as there are black Canadians or black immigrants from Africa / Caribbean or other parts of the world. It's a beautiful mosaic where people are free to maintain their cultural identity, whereas we view USA as a "melting pot" where everyone is pressured to renounce their heritage and become "American".

I wasn't talking about "immigrants". You won't get what I mean, so give up trying. You are not from here.

Wait, what?

What do you mean I won't get what you mean?

I'm not from "here" (?)

Where is here? CR mentioned Canada.

I'm talking primarily about people who are born here or their families have been here for generations, but also about immigration and refugee programs.

I didn't know I was saying anything to contradict you.

Maybe I need to read back in the thread?

Seriously. ^

He seems to view everything I say as an attack of some sort.
I read back in the thread and I still don't understand what he's on about.

Also it's not like I don't know America.
I lived there ffs.

LoL, no, but I'm not going to dive into the rabbit hole of discussion of racial relations in US. Especially with outsiders. Touchy subject.

OK, but the OP isn't about race relations and I was responding to CR about Canada.
I didn't know any "outsiders" would be judging what I wrote.

As for dating and race, I don't know anyone who thinks twice about it these days.

My comment was not directed at you. Just people who know what I mean.

And no, it was not in the dating context.
