Ooh, that does sound promising! 
I wouldn't ask him directly, though - for most people that would be a turn off, and especially if he's shy, then I don't think he'd appreciate being put on the spot like that.

I really like this guy though, so I'm definitely sitting at lunch with him. Thanks for all the advice guys - who knows, I might get a boyfriend out of this
