I don't know anything about astrology.

As far as spirituality goes, I think I'll stick with dating other Christians.

That is going to be a bit tricky.

The thing with following a LHP or being into cRaZy cHaOs, is people always looking at you in a silly way when you explain anything about your beliefs.
Then, if you're lucky, you get to date a hot Wiccan fluffbunny, who zealously tells you after two days that the Goddess frowns upon your non-dogmatic occultism ;)

I'm well past the point of wanting to date only people that think exactly like me. That's not only impossible, but would be boring too.
I think the important part is mutual respect of each others beliefs, and having entertaining discussions without it becoming arguments :)

astrology is something very stupid ,like religions and pseudscience....it gets on my nerves.
For some reason, It seems that girls are usually more into them , I become really annoyed when a bunch of co-worker girls start talking about astrology ...especially when they start analyzing the 'astrology for couples' and the whole matching stuff BS.

As I said in another thread......I am flexible with any kind of personality (unless if it's not mean or insane) but I don't think I can handle a girl that is obsessed with much such stupidities.

Any guy who thinks he can afford to eliminate women who believe in astrology as romantic possibilities ought to just go right ahead. ;)

I believe it depends on a lot of factors and not only about what they believe, at least for just dating, not a problem there, but I could see potential problems when there is a serious relationship or a married couple with different beliefs, but it depends on how they are and how they would accept each other, for some people it works, for others it doesn't, surely it depends on what type and how strong the belief system is for both and how their behaviours and tolerance are.

In my case I would like to go with a partner that thinks like me and shares my views, however I would probably go with someone who is just open minded about everything, without being dogmatic about anything, which I think it could be better that way.

I have a habit of converting friends and girlfriends away from religion and other superstitions. I consider it a good habit.

I didn't watch the video or read the article in the OP yet.

I'd feel fine to have a casual relationship with someone who believes in astrology. For a long-term, committed one, definitely not. Sure, there are worse things to believe, but anyone who genuinely believes there is some truth behind astrology is not very smart imo.

You know, not everyone who buys that sort of stuff is stupid. As far as I can tell they've just become comfortable in believing in that sort of thing, and can't let it go. For all I know there's probably something I believe that is fundamentally implausible, but I just don't realise it because that's how I was raised. Nobody's perfect, as they say. So yes I would be open, but they wouldn't be able to talk about astrology with me.

It's only a belief, and as a member said prior, which I find erroneous in the extreme; showing your offspring that two people of two different mind states can love one another, care for one another, without subjective bias clouding their view of who people really are, i.e., who and what you are by your actions, is a beautiful thing. Humanity doesn't need separation, it needs understanding and acceptance of all harmless beliefs if humanity will ever get along peacefully. When people start seeing and saying that my group, my logic, my intelligence, my hair color, etcetera, is better than yours, we all know where this leads.

All religion is on the level of astrology to me; hell, I have trouble believing in the existence of other humans, and even the tangible that's proven by experimentation.

My partner is religious, and I don't believe in anything but our love.

People should date people they are attracted to, it's that simple.

I don't see how astralogy ever could be a problem, it's not like it's some hatefull religion or something.

The only problem I foresee is that someone who is really strict into astrology will make decissions and have mood based on something random. If you try to be more objective it could be hard living with someone like that.

So in other words, not everyone who believes in Astrology is stupid, some just don't question their beliefs. Give me a break, I don't believe anyone who is truly intelligent doesn't question their beliefs. Besides, knowledge of things such as our perceptual biases (confirmation bias in particular) and the techniques of cold reading, the forer effect, etc, should make it clear why astrology is pretty much hogwash.
