Something that I have noticed in the past few years is with the rise of films adapted from a comic book/graphic novel source, the number of girls at comic shops and conventions has risen significantly. I am unable to tell if these girls are Aspie or not, but something you may wish to investigate nonetheless.
Except that I'm not that kind of nerd

When young women start going to Microcenter to buy computer parts, let me know...
most women order online because when we go into a brick and mortar store we are treated like idiots by men who have had little contact with women in the first place, let alone with shoppers looking for something specific.
I have gone in for parts, or software, or even whole systems and have had to walk out because I somehow did not 'fit the profile'.
so there is an idea! When a woman DOES come in, treat them like intelligent human beings and give them a break if they don't want the latest gaming equipment.
good luck!
To be honest, I never would do such a thing. If there was a woman out there that was in any level a computer enthusiast, I would find that to be a major turn-on because there's a woman that shares an interest with me.

I worked in the computer technical field for 7 years. I loved the attention I got from men who had not been around many women other than their mothers or school teachers or other women of authority. Unfortunately, that was also my weakest link, too as I mostly got the fish eye from the younger men, so I learned to come into the scene and crank up the tunes so they would relax and not feel I was going to trash them for being loud and guy-like. I tried to be just another geek and treasured the men that just let me be me.
I was also a cook for 17 years before I went to college. It was a lot more egalitarian in the kitchen. Men and women kept a certain level of PG rating in our talk and our behaviour, but working on the tech support phones, or going out on business calls to run cable or set up systems and software me coming onto the scene would put a damper on the R rated boy's club talk. That always dissapointed me, because I didn't want them to feel uncomfortable.
And yes, I found a man with very wonderful qualities in the tech field, but he was a stage carpenter and stage lighting guy. We went our separate ways much later, but it was great while it lasted.

Nerdy activities like D&D, gaming groups, book clubs, etc. can be good ways to meet women who are a little socially awkward.
Now, if there were only book clubs worth joining in my area... Well, not that there are single women in my area anyway. And, no offense meant to anyone, I don't really want an English girl.
Tim_Tex, I'm sorry but I think looking online is a waste of time - unless you're Mr Perfect, you have about zero chances.
