I have to admit that I felt the same way about soul mates and romanticized love. I have been in love many times and I understand that relationships take work, mostly you have to work on yourself. Now I believe that in that ideal love and although I may not have it like in the movies it does exist. The fact that humans have this deep desire for a connection like this is proof that it must exist.

Ha! I knew it, I could feel the artificial flavors of dolly madison heading for my face. I so want to tell his monkey girlfriend what a dill hole he is, but aye, I should be more civilized, he is her problem now... You guys were right. It took me 2 years!
Two years to realize what a jerk he is. I'm going to scrub myself with baking soda and essential oils in the bath now....
