LADY'S: What's so attractive about a jerk?

Opinion, derived through observation:

Jerks keep "dweebs," "geeks," "nerds," "spazzes," and "tards" away. So, if a girl seems to have a jerk for a boyfriend, she will have to deal only with one potential threat, rather than a multitude of petty annoyances.

Just an opinion, folks ... just an opinion ...

I'd like to ask..

Why do guys like Submissive Girls?

...but I guess that's another topic..

Submissive girls are easier to get along with than those who must always be right and/or have the last word.

Besides, sheep don't fetch beer.

I behave like a true jerk here and here I am .....the ladies man of WP!

I don't... not if you mean "submissive" as in a girl who has been raised to be a slave and have no opinions of her own. I find it very sad when that happens to a girl. I don't believe that all men should be dominant and all women should be submissive (or vice versa)... such "gender roles" are pointless. Also, I would rather have a woman love me because she wanted to, not because she felt like she "had to."

Why is the villain in the story or movie always more interesting than the hero? (Just my opinion)

There is absolutely NOTHING attractive about a jerk.

Jerks have many friends, good social skills and typically come from rich families. Girls are subconsciously attracted to status, which is why many girls like jerks. Status will place a person high on the human pecking order

Confidence, those "jerks" seem to have it in spades. A person who knows what's going on, what he's doing, and isn't above a little aggression likely isn't going to be pushed down, taking a woman, and the family down with him. The more confident (confidence being bred through competence, and KNOWING it) a guy, the less likely he will fail. Just mah uneducated opinion here...

Maybe some of us get confidence mixed up with "jerkiness?" I mean, I find a guy that is confident and assertive sexy, but a jerk just makes me want to put my foot you know where.

Some people like jerks and cocky guys because they confuse aggression towards others and being a total di... jerk with confidence. These people need to act like a jerk to feel good about themselves and others since this false confidence. From what I've seen though, it's these guys whose false confidence is shattered when someone upstages them. I blame the media too though. Thanks to the media, almost everyone believes that anyone who doesn't put others down isn't confident.

True confidence comes from accepting others for their good and bad qualities, and ultimately yourself for your own.

I would think (at least around here) that most of us Y-chromosome types would not like a submissive woman...

Being treated like a doormat ourselves (sometimes), would you really want a fellow doormat?..

Whereas confidence (in either gender) is easier to get along with. At least you know if you're getting attention because you earned it...
