I have found that it makes me and him grow closer together. We have had time to get to know each other these past 3 years.


We talk alot , at least 5 hours a day, every day over skype.

Well what I mainly meant by my post above is that faith doesn't really do anything other than provide false hope, and if you really have faith and it doesn't work out you're going to end up feeling even worse. By have hope I mean don't just go there without any motivation and just let things pass, and by prepare I just meant in general. Make a good impression and such I suppose.

she wasn't apologizing, she was offering you comfort.
you obviously don't have to accept the comfort, but try to remember alcoholism is a catastrophic disease that damages the innocent. To continue to spread the damage by casual dismissal of sincerity from other innocents only spreads that damage and does you no benefit.
