I should know, I am one. I'm also a Cock*. Oddly enough, I tend to fit all the descriptions, too. It's a pity I buy into those things, you know, not at all. Though, I'm curious how Capricorns and Libras are supposed to fair in relationships, though. One never knows if there's more to this than meets the logical eye.

As for letting a girl know you're interested, pay her some attention, ask her some polite questions that don't readily wander into any sexual territory, and offer to buy her lunch or something small like that. Just get talking. Anyone who's not into small talk, this may be a problem for you. I can speak for myself small talk is really where it all starts.

*Chinese zodiac, for those who got confused.

Not yet. I was just keeping conversation about zodiac signs.

The trick behind horoscopes you read in the paper is that they are so general that they can be applied to any of the 12 signs, and any believer will interpret this statement in a way that makes sense to them.

For instance, a horoscope from Horoscope.com:

Quote:
It’s possible you’ll be sensitive to impending planetary changes. Perhaps a desire to tie up any loose ends needs to be addressed. Old memories may be stirred, while present doubts may be exaggerated, but it’s best not to act on any negative feelings today, because tomorrow brings a burst of confidence!

Which sign is this associated with?

Give up?
My point is that these things are so generalized that it can be interpreted in any way possible. For all you know, that could be for any of the 12 signs, and people wouldn't know the difference.

PS: it's an Aquarius horoscope...

Hah, oh my god, horoscopes. I never read the damn things, even just out of curiosity, they're so utterly pointless.

Of course, that's what astrology seems to be about, to me. Mine is the only one of anyone I know that fits at all, though, which is odd, but that's also not saying much. Still, anything I read is just so general it's painful. But, looking at my boyfriend's, his doesn't fit at all, even though it's general. Hell, I just don't know. :D

According to Wikipedia (I bolded what fit):

Quote:
* Diplomatic / compromising, however possibly manipulative

* Cooperative - totally dependent on the situation, just like for anyone

* Fair / balanced / impartial - maybe, totally subjective, depends on who you ask

* Idealistic (in relationships) - to a fault

* Charming - this is outright grossly flattering, come on

* Sociable and easy-going, love having people around them

* Indecisive / changeable - NO

* Peace loving

* Elegant / graceful - hell if I know

* Refined / artistic / good taste

* Pleasure oriented

* Gentle

* Sensitive to others

* Analytical, clear-minded and logical, however still manages to be gullible and influenceable, naive.

* Kind - that's totally subjective

* Cheerful - NO

* Romantic, strongly interested in the opposite sex - I guess?

* Flirty / frivolous, however loyal in marriage

Still, hilariously vague. And what bothers me about any of these astrological or personality things is that they're so goddamn flattering. Give me a break, let's see what it says about the bad facets to get the whole picture.

Anyway, I'd be interested to see how and who came up with these descriptions, and how much they've changed over the centuries.

Oddly enough, I fit all the good and bad described in the MBTI about the cognitive style of INFJ -- introverted intuitive feeler judger. And at least OKCupid has a test made by someone who decided not to be outright flattering about the results:

Quote:
INFJ - FREAK

Well, well, well. How did someone like you end up with the least common personality type of them all? In a group of 100 Americans, only 0.5 others would be just like you. You really are one of a kind... In fact, I do believe that that's one of the definitions for the word "FREAK."

Freak's not such a bad word to describe you actually.

You are deep, complex, secretive and extremely difficult to understand. If that doesn't scream "Freak!" I don't know what does. No-one actually knows the REAL you, do they?

You probably have deep interests in creative expression as well as issues of spirituality and human development.

You've probably even been called a "psychic" before, because of your uncanny knack to understand and "read" people without quite knowing how you do it. Don't fret. You're not actually psychic. That would make you special and you'll never accomplish that.

You're also quite possibly the most emotional of them all, so don't take this all too hard. Nevertheless you most definitely have the strangest personality type and that's not necessarily a good thing.

How do you show a girl you're interested in her? How does she show it back?

BACK ON TOPIC... :P

I showed a girl (same one I mentioned a few posts back) that I was interested in her with conversation (oh, the dreaded small talk), attention, goofing around, and teasing her light-heartedly. A great teasing mechanism I found is, when she asks for something (like help), tell her a "No." as if she's not worth your time and look away, continuing what you were doing. After a moment of confusion, look back at her and chuckle with a smile, then comply with her request. It worked pretty well on this particular girl, anyway.

After a while, I became intrigued at the ease with which I could talk to her, and the good time we seemed to have together at class and math tutoring. I decided to try and ask her out, and after a long time of building up courage, today I finally spat forth a "So.. do you wanna hang out sometime, like away from school?", and was met with positive response, obtaining a phone number after she took mine.

The key, I think, is to find someone you're relatively comfortable around, especially if you have trouble asking girls out.

I'm a Gemini. :lol:

On topic, I too had attempted to show interest in multiple girls over the course of the last four years, but I guess they were not comfortable around me. :cry:

I just figured out how my personality fit into all 12 signs and created a thread in PPR about it. Click here to go to that thread...

I don't know how to do that. There's two guys I'm interested in, but can't express it.

Hiya!

#1: Helloooo fellow Aquarians, the cavalry has arrived ;) Also, I'm a Rooster, so just TRY shutting me up.

#2: Chicks who don't know how to express it? All these things need to be done really subtly, so he almost wouldn't notice. Eye contact (if you can), then when he looks back for a couple of seconds, look away. Look at his lips while you're talking to him, brush up against him, boobs out, bum out, straight back. Walk like a goddess. Soft voice, soothing but not submissive. Dress sexy but not slu*ty. Express self respect with your body. If you don't have any, pretend you do. Pout, very subtly. A dark lip liner on the bottom lip with lighter lipstick on top helps with this because it shades the lips and makes them subtly look like they're always pouting. Before you go out, check yourself in the mirror and make sure you say that you're gorgeous. If you don't act like you like yourself, he probably won't either.
