Hey, I can identify with you, and I'm female. I think that the first few weeks after the last time someone has sex can be torture, because the experience is still fresh in the mind, and there is a great deal of uncertainty on whether or when such an experience will happen.

I purposely went on an SSRI not just for depression, but to kill my sex drive. Having pent up sexual energy without anyone to share it with just makes the depression worse.

Too bad you're all the way across the pond.

This is sad. I don't believe there should be such a thing as "duty sex". Especially if one of the partners gets to suffer. That's selfishness, not love.

Usual thing, I guess. A matter of finding a balance. Abstinence or overdoing it are probably extremes to be avoided. Most people, male or female, can be put in the mood for sex with the right stimulus. It does generally take more effort for females, although I have met one that was very sexually agressive/demanding.

She's faithfully married now, so none of us can have her any more.

The people responding with "boo hoo" etc: you're not doing yourself any favors wallowing in your self pity to build up your pity trail of tears. There's no need to poo poo on other people's threads just because your love life isn't working. If anyone here deserves a "boo frigging hoo" it's you.

If you don't have anything nice or helpful to say, then don't bother responding. Sheesh.

To the OP: if you're just looking for casual sex, there are many avenues for that. Craigs list, adult friend finder, etc. etc. If you're looking for something with emotion that's a whole other problem :P

According to CNN 1% of the adult population is asexual. I would assume most of them are females.

Some women have the opposite problem. The men typically are the ones that would initiate sex in a lot of relationships. Some men might not want to bother her or inconvenience her, or wake her up, etc. and so don't initiate sex nearly as often as the woman would actually like.

Then women should let the men know, in no uncertain terms that they're in the mood, instead of keeping us guessing...

Actually, chocolate is good for you, a small daily dose of the really black stuff.

Milk and white chocolates are not real chocolate.

Exactly!

Do you know that look women get when they want you to have sex with them? ..... Nope? ...... Neither do I.
