It is inappropriate to generalize. There may be folks who can't handle it, but then again there's a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy sometimes. I have two college degrees and a great job. My social experience in college was severely limited, but I excelled academically. I had to take some time to find a job with limited social interaction but without that college education, I wouldn't have this job I love now.

If you don't have a college degree in the US (and I think Europe but not sure), the best job you can land is something in retail, which has a whole lot of socialization...

I still don't get how Aspie boys in Norway just end up as something equalling ret*ds and how they end up as Nobel Prize winners in the US.

So come to the US. Preferably a state in the Northeast like New Jersey, Vermont, or Massachusetts, since those states are the more progressive states in the union (and therefore more in line with mainstream European)...
