Hmm....lets see. :chin:

Camping overnight
A random motorcycle ride, without destination
Sea food or steak dinner
Movie (home or theater)
Cookout at a local park
Fishing :geek:
Museum (any type)
Atv ride
Rattlesnake hunting (visual)
Just hang out and talk
Etc...

Wow, am I a hillbilly or what? :lmao:

Doesn't have to cross the line of sex or anything.

Doesn't have to be with someone you are currently dating right now. I mean I'm not dating or anything these are just ideas.

And there's no such thing as a hopless romantic or unromantic when it comes to your own world....just so people here don't think they need to make a list of where they think or how a date SHOULD go in our sheeple minds of social constructs.

Absolutely, when the world is cold and unfriendly, there is nothing more relaxing and enjoyable than to fantasize about how the perfect date would go and what you would do.

Even romantic malcontents like us have some notion of what the perfect date or date location might be. We are only malcontents because we haven't felt romantic love and therefore feel the need to lash out in our anger and disappointment. However, what is the harm in a little fantasy and role playing? (mind you I mean role playing in the sense of picturing of how the perfect date might go, I'm not alluding to anything of a sexual nature :wink:)

Well, I guess... it still feels a bit weird to me, though... Because everyone keeps talking about lowering standards until you get someone, do I really have a right to pursue fulfillment of a mere fantasy?

The important thing to make me happy isn't the specific details, though... the thing I want to experience is that whole feeling of everything else in the world, all the cares, concerns, and life outside fall away, leaving only you and your partner... nothing before or after that one time I experienced such a feeling (with a girl I almost ended up going out with that I met doing theater) left me nearly as content... I was just suggesting implementing that feeling into a framework that the woman would also find romantic...

Here's mine. I haven't read any of the other responses so there may be some repeats.

* Camping
* Hiking
* The Zoo
* Motorcycle ride. I've never been on a ride through the mountains. That would be awesome.
* The lake and then stay until late and start a campfire (this would be one of my favourites 8) )
* Movies (home or at the theatre...but not when it's packed. I like it when it's half empty)
* Museums
* Geocaching (I've done this a few times with friends. It's a lot of fun)
* Picnic
* If you date a gamer, having videogame marathons is fun. That's my nerdy side. :wink:

definitely the library.
lol, especially after some of the other posts on here. it might help me keep my hands to myself.
oddly enough, i can't think of anywhere I'd rather go with someone.

movie theatre (and live theatre) are lovely. thankfully I don't have too much paranoia about crowds, I don't like to be in them, but I like to watch them

ooo! people watching downtown. sitting by a window, facing the street, and watching the people walk by is fascinating.

and I definitely love watching movies at home.

carnivals!! !! (we just had one in town this weekend, and I love carnivals)

I never really thought about date ideas till now, thankyou for the inspiration

Spending the night watching the stars... That's something I always enjoyed.

I "just happen" to walk past the Sciense fiction bookstore in stockholm with my dates. It has revealed lots of otherwise anonymous geek girls to me :)

Also a small restourant with not so many people in it, good for conversation. Unlike a movie theatre.

That's one of my favourite things to do. Airports are another good place to people watch too. 8)

It seems like the 6th Street area in Austin is the place to be, but the people who hang out there are a bit too weird for me.

For me, it would be the Riverwalk in San Antonio, or any restaurant in San Marcos or New Braunfels.

Bowling is a good ice breaker - it doesn't require much athletic skill or coordination, in fact, it's more fun if you aren't great at it. Only drawback is that bowling alleys tend to be kinda LOUD, and if you go on a weekend, crowded as well (never join a league, unless you're just curious what an Aspie hell might be like). But drop in on a weeknight and it's a very pleasant shared experience.

Actually, I was in a few leagues when I was younger. While I will certainly agree it was kinda loud, it's wasn't necessarily unbearable (at least for me). In fact, I still have my bag and balls (although they would need to be re-drilled.)

Good one, Willard :thumleft:

Well I did this the other day with my girl, a skating rink can be a fun date. I did this the other day, it was loads of fun. Just hanging out skating and talking. Afterwards grab some food and drinks at the snack bar and just chill out for a bit. It was a lot of fun.

My ideal date would be at a baseball park. Of course, I'd have to be sure she'd have a slight interest in sports.

Italian restaurant. I know it sounds really cliched, but I love everything to do with Italy, and it would be romantic.

....Yeah I'm boring but I get nervous around annoying lights and too much activity going on. Plus I love books, museums, movies, animals, nature....they'd have to have some of these same interests as me. :nerdy:

Your turn!

Hmm....let's seeee here. Bookstores, Art Museums, Beaches, Nature Trails, and the zoo.

Why are you single? :scratch:
