I think AS/AS relationships could work, but they could also go wrong. Just like all relationships.
When I was in year 7 at school (11/12) I had a friend who is an aspie and I remember on the school bus this girl said "you two would make a good couple, you both have that asperger thing"

one thing I would have a problem with about dating another aspie is genetics. Quite simply, I can't see a reason to date unless your looking for marriage. It follows then you should know about the traits that will be passed down to your children (at least if your planning to have kids, which I am). I think I read somewhere that two AS parents are fairly likely to have low-functioning autistic kids. Does anyone have a proof or disproof for this?

I've thought about this quite a lot, and it does make me question where I stand with children...at one point, I selfishly thought "Well, at least they won't need as many cuddles" but I realize that's slightly warped...I'd like to see some proof/disproof.

I'd probably prefer a NT woman mainly because I'm too shy to make the 1st move.

methinks i'd prefer an aspie lady, regardless of how shy i am.. NT's, unless very obsessive will likely not "get" me..

First move, eh...
Girls asking guys out is not necessarily an NT trait. I think I've asked out around 10 guys in total?
(Of course, all of them have turned me down because I'm an overweight clean freak who reads about Jeffrey Dahmer for fun.)

Really depends on the person.

While it's true that AS women are not as emotionally demanding as NT women, and they might be more likely to put up with disappointment and difficulty due to not wanting to change what they have, there are just some AS men that are far too distant even for the average AS woman.

I've dated an AS man who barely had a pulse. He could see me once every six weeks, and be perfectly happy with that.

I've also dated an ADHD man who wants to see me five times a week, and complains if I can only see him three times.

Given both extremes, I still prefer the second option. Even if it is too much in the long run, better that than too little.
