Do we have a chance at dating the really attractive ones?
She is tall with big hips and bottom and just had naturally bigger legs
It sounds like she has the pear-shape. They seem to have the toughest time trying to even themselves out, since their fat distribution is different.

Definitely I'm a similar shape, I feel like I'm out of proportion

It's the really obese girls that I'm not attracted too. Not only because they're physically attractive to me but because I feel like they're putting zero effort into their lives.

The fat-acceptance movement would be fine if it was just applied to naturally pear-shaped ladies but it's also applied to young women who weigh around 300 lbs. That's not pear shaped. Having a bit of fat around the legs and buttocks is genetic for a lot of girls. Having a BMI of 45 is not genetic.
They say that having a BMI of 45 will not cause health problems. This is a lie. It takes a lot of effort to become very thin (if you're not naturally thin) but it takes less effort to go from 300 lbs to 250 lbs. Losing those 50 lbs would provide a big benefit to her health.
The fat-acceptance movement is the celebration of mediocrity. It's being proud of not having tried at all. That attitude should not be applied to any aspect of life, not fitness, not career, not anything.
If a person has no self-control around junk food they'll have no self-control in their lives. If a person puts no effort into their health of appearance, I have a hard time believing they put effort into their lives. I have experienced this for myself. 5 years ago I was very lazy. I put no effort into any part of my life and I was morbidly obese.
Yes, physical attraction is based on health. Can a pear-shaped girl be healthy? Absolutely! Is a sphere-shaped girl who suffers from joint pain due to her weight healthy? Nope.
A lady at my kung fu class explained to me that women having fat distributed around the legs and buttocks is fine but if a woman has most of her fat around the belly, it's much more unhealthy than having fat around the legs and buttocks.

I have to say that 300lbs is morbidly obese and extremely unhealthy.
I would say I am personally in the obsee category (below 300lbs) but i do still our effort into my life. (Just a opinion from someone who is bigger and honestly no judgement on your preference)

It would likely be helpful for that person to lose the 50 pounds or somewhere around that, but it seems like some people expect a 300 pound woman for instance can go down to like 120 pounds or lower and become 'skinny' when it is quite possible they may only be able to go down to being chubby...So the problem becomes how much weight does the person have to lose before its 'acceptable' and shows they've put effort into their health?
Different body types should certainly be accepted, but obviously morbid obesity shouldn't be glorified anymore than being severely underweight because those are unhealthy and can cause serious health problems.

Yes this! Very well put
Sweetleaf, it's not about a specific weight, but when you as an individual reach the point you look and feel your healthiest you have in your life, or at the very least in a long time.
Now when I say 'look healthy' I'm not talking about unnaturally skinny for your naturally genetic body, I'm saying if you got a picture of yourself or remember what you looked like about 2 years before, if you look 1000 times better since then, then that's definitely something to be proud of.
With regards to feel healthy, it means just that - you feel much better physically in the short-term and long-term than you did before.
You generally feel more overall energy, improved mood, etc. since you've improved your health.
Since you're eating better you no longer look or feel like a lazy, lumpy sack.
I'm not saying every overweight person is, I'm saying being significantly overweight and having a poor diet will likely make you feel this way.
Simply put if you feel like a lazy lumpy sack sort of feel, no energy, tired, bloated, fatigued, lethargic, eyes hurt from looking at the screen too much, body joints hurt from moving after sitting too much, etc. most days of the week/year even while young than maybe a health and lifestyle change is in order.
Because even thin people can be in poor shape it's just I'd rather have an out of shape skinny person than an out of shape fat person but both are not ideal.

Saw the really attractive one again last night for a bit.
Dunno about you guys, but I actually have a chance at dating this really attractive one. ![]()
Well, more like we already are dating, it's just not officially a relationship yet.
So, I can definitely date the really attractive ones (subjective, of course, but in general he'd be considered really attractive, IMO) it's now a matter of finding out if I can develop a relationship w/ him. Time will tell.

Two reasons:
1) Women have typically been on the receiving end of most "body shaming" comments throughout history.
2) It's called a double standard. Women want to be accepted for being fat, yet they still prefer fit Alpha males.
It's an evolutionary biology thing, IMO, and this whole PC notion of "everyone is equal" is complete BS. There's fit and there's fat, winners and losers, people who pair up and procreate and people who don't etc etc and it's just the way it is.
Acknowledging and accepting that this is the way of the world is the first step. Deciding to play the game is the next. Playing the best you can is the following step. In other words, if you don't feel attractive with the body you have now, then change it. Work hard, eat well, drink water, sleep. etc. Get fit, get confident, be and feel attractive, then get the girl.
