^ No one is saying that we should send Heys,

but this:

“You strike me as someone who is constantly changing and evolving. Plus, exquisite taste in music. I dig. If you're into it, I'd love to know more about you”

This is so typical, so common, so overused and so boring - half of the guys on okc are doing it.

It’s like the typical intro of cover letters that everyone write them, do you really think that HRs actually read them all?

I still don't know how any kind of casual conversation between strangers can ever start that enables them in any way to stop being strangers.

My experience is that, first of all, you'd better have a very convincing reason for approaching a stranger, and then, once your business is done, you bid them farewell, thank them if appropriate, and leave them damn well alone for good.

Btw, people, listen up! There' something really and seriously f****d up with the new okc, so I went to create another fake account - I run out of valid emails and was too lazy to create a new gmail just for that, so I just entered a random gmail of I dunno who, and it took it! The profile got created and I can write and upload pics to it as normal! There's no email verification required anymore! What!

So imagine if this person wants to create an okc, he won't be able to do so because I took it (he can still request new password, but how he/she is gonna guess what happened?) , and what's worse, imagine the reputation-destructive things one may do to others with this, I've read on their support blog a girl complaining that one used her email to create an okc profile without her consent and he/she put obscene pics of her, and she started to get calls because of it.

This is so ....shameful and messed up from okc. This site is total crap now.

Showing interest in others in a specific way and expressing to them why their particular profile intrigues you isn't at all typical, common, overused or boring. That guy was one of the only ones who even tried. When I did OKCupid, the vast majority of the messages I received were along the lines of "hey!" or "what's up" or "great profile!" or "you look great!" Women who use dating apps aren't expecting guys to jump through hoops or write like Rainer Maria Rilke, they just want a little bit thought. That's all. But only a small number of guys online try to do more than the bare minimum.

anyway, I am back to prove you wrong; your claim that average looking women don’t get tons of messages is so false; this is a the fake profile I made yesterday with no text:

Image

The pic is so unflaterring, she looks so angry, her nose is enormous, she seems to have some acne too; she is neither too ugly tho but certainly barely average.
Her face shape is not at all typically feminine either.

Yet she received 27 messages in one overnight!

And frankly the guys who are messaging her aren’t ugly either, certainly better looking than her.

Image

So you are all wrong.

The picture is funny, because it’s pretty obvious it was taken, and probably edited, purposely to make her nose look huge.

Agree, it looks very Photoshopped.

I would say I've been rejected by almost every single person in every single social situation I've been in, starting from preschool. Literally never had one single friend in my entire lifetime. It is so rare that anyone displays any interest in interacting with me beyond the required bare minimum that I suppose when it does happen, I become inordinately hopeful.

Your case is really unusually extreme - when this happens, it is usually due to looks; back in school when I was so careless about my looks no one wanted to befriend me, let alone girls to show any interest.

I suggest you to pm some female members; to share pics with them and listen to their advice. Don’t dwell on that rejection - do something.

that because I posted it zoomed in; I doubt the guys there on okc are going to check it that closely.

Then explain to me why my profile received absolutely zero messages when I used my professionally-taken, acting resume headshot photo. In a small country like Lebanon I'm sure there are relatively few women who use dating apps, which may lead to every female user getting bombarded. Here in the States, men are under the illusion that they can be extremely picky due to the seemingly huge array of options.

The fact that you are spending this much money on multiple fake accounts just to try and prove me wrong says a lot about you. It is impossible to see who likes you and unlock their messages on OKCupid without paying $10 a month. In fact I suspect you probably started up 27 accounts just to message your fake gal. Again, if you got that kind of cash and that kind of time to just throw away, I don't see why you wouldn't just pay for it...

Why the f**k would I share pics with other women in order to provide rationalization for my experiences? I'm a well-dressed person and I take good care of myself.... one doesn't have to be disfigured in order to be shut out of humanity.

What’s wrong with you and your conspiracy theories?
Look, Okc is free, don’t you get it? You don’t need to pay for anything to conduct this

I didn’t unlock any likes, those are messages from “matches” - I just swiped right on everyone and got matches with... that much. Where did you see that I unlocked likes?

Look, I can't see likes

You are inventing stuff, there's no need to pay to see the messages of those you matched with, you are not understing how Okc works , to see likes is another story.

And don’t be silly about the 27 accounts.

You know what? I can give you the credentials to this fake account and check that these guys are real, you want it?

You are not understanding the new Okc, it is like Tinder now, it's soooo obvious that you are totally clueless how to use it - you need to go to click on "Double Take" and start liking profiles, you will receive messages only from those who like you back.

You will not receive any message unless you match with people, this how it works now.
