I wish men knew that pms anger isn't just an excuse to not be nice.

Its a really weird rage that boils up out of nowhere. Its an hormonal imbalance. Its scary.

I'm an easy going person most of the time, but when I have pms a little thing can make my heart race, I get really hot, my face goes red and I will want to tear your head off with my bare hands or throw breakable things across the room just to vent and hear them smash.

I want to, but I won't. I might just make an overly angry comment instead or throw something down petulantly.

You think this is scary to watch. Try experiencing it. Its like Bruce Banner trying to stop the Hulk coming out.

Either that or I'll burst into tears.

Yep. I know alittle about PMDD cuz my current girlfriend has it. Her doc used that term so i looked it up. She has problems with depression & anxiety along with other mental stuff in general but things got a lot worse around that time of the month. I would figure out she was getting her period before she would cuz hers were very irregular. She got a birth control implant in her arm to stop or at least reduce her periods which has helped a lot.

On King Of The Hill, Hank had IMS(Irritable Male Syndrome) which is the opposite of roid-rage since it's due to low testosterone & the doc told Hank to think of it as getting his manzies :lol:

From what I understand, roid rage isn't because of high testosterone, but rather high estrogen. While using the steroids, your body adapts to the increased testosterone by producing lots of extra estrogen to try to balance it out. When you stop with the steroids, especially abruptly, your testosterone plummets while your estrogen is still sky-high.

Those of us who suffer from pmdd, although we have an interest in tech, can't keep up with all of you youg guys who are willing to sacrifice your whole lives for your job.

I'm in pain, I need rest, I also want a social life. I don't want to be learning to code 24/7.

The industy doesn't offer a very good work/life balance.

The only thing I have over these young men is age and experience in other areas of life. So when interviewers see that I have time management skills, and social skills from working in other types of jobs, as well as intelligence, they think, "ah we can train her up," but then I burn out, I burn to a cinder.

I enjoy the company of men and I like to talk about tech and engineering and so on.

One of the best engineering conversations I had was with a really girly woman who watched a tv program about how ships break the ice. She thought it was fascinating. Her enthusiasm was infectious.

Move to the Muslim part of world, here there’s an ocean of female engineers. The STEM’s gender gap is purely a Western thing.

“Geeky” tho is a different thing and not all engineers and coders are geeky. Even here geeks tend to be males.

I need clear boundaries about sex because if I start w anyone, I want to keep doing it.

I've been learning.

It's my way I'm showing I care if I'm attracted to the person.
But, only if that's what the person really wants while being in a relationship that's at least friendly and lasting.
I don't want to be confused.

I didn't say it wasn't.

But when employers expect that level of commitment to work from everyone, that's a huge turn off for those of us who have other interests.
