So its not enough to date an autistic woman; she also has to be ugly.

Not only am I obese and have low T, but I also have diastasis recti and an embelucal hernia. My abdomen bulges in the middle and my belly button is being visibly pushed out from the inside.

He didn't. He acts like it'll just go away on its own.

I went to donate plasma before work this morning, and the Asian young lady I have a crush on was working there. She looks like she can't be older than 24 or 25. Probably younger.

To everyone who's been saying that I shouldn't worry about age gaps, none of you have answered this question: what reason does a younger woman have to date me when she could date someone closer to her age?

Even if I say anything to her, from her perspective I'll just be another random guy hitting on her. And we allknow how women love getting hit on at work by random guys.

Well I can only go by my example, but my gf is 21 and I am 37, and she chooses to date me for some reason, so it is technically possible and can happen.

As for women not like being hit on at work, I guess that's a risk you'll have to take but you might still feel good that you tried, rather than not try at all?

now and then, just as it was with me [bolt of lightning out of the blue, that just as quickly dissipated], you may find somebody for whom you are, at long last, able to give them something that nobody else so far has been able to give them, like a psychic lock fitting a mental key. it is a numbers game and you end up having to go through much chaff before you find a kernel of wheat. some of us can't deal with that amount of work, and to be sure it is real work.

That's only the case for neurotypicals. But aspies like me need to be significantly above average in other areas to compensate for being autistic for women to consider us.

I’m not tall and handsome, either—and I don’t have a lucrative STEM career.

That's also incorrect. Also, remember that loads of us on this forum are "aspies like me" as you put it... pausing on that may help you. Honestly I would just try as best as you can to relax about the problem you are describing, hard as that may be. Try baby steps at improving yourself; I often view the world through a RPG lens, that I am levelling up attributes as I go through life. Those improvements bring greater confidence. I don't believe there is a way of telling if someone will find me desirable, so until that point happens I'd focus on trying to make yourself an incrementally better version of yourself. Forget societal doctrines of attractiveness etc. It may be the person or persons that do find you desirable are 'eccentric', so a norm is irrelevant and so you don't need to have worried about that. The better version of yourself you are, the better chance you have of making something of such an opportunity. I would also not rush into meeting anyone IRL that you meet on a dating site. Build things in a safer environment; do the courting by written comms, and perhaps in time spoken comms on say discord. Save the IRL until you know each other well and are very much into the person's mind, what lies beneath the skin. That way you won't waste your time on people that run away when faced with certain behaviours that you have previously said have been offputting IRL. This method hugely favours the aspie dater IME.

And many of them are chronically single and lonely just like me.

When I was a teenager, I knew a family friend who has AS. He never had any success with women. He died in his 40's having never married or had a girlfriend.

As for me, the only relationship I've ever been in was with an abusive sociopath who targeted me specifically for my vulnerabilities. That relationship ended in 2009, and no other woman has wanted to date me in over 13 years.

I understand where you're coming from, but the problem is that time is no longer on my side. I'm already 40. I've already missed out on ever being with a young woman, and it won't be long until the only women I can date will be grandmothers.

The problem is that I cannot tell if I'm even attracted to someone until I meet her IRL. There was someone I talked to online for a few months, but once we met IRL I realized that there was attraction at all. Whatever time I wait before meeting IRL is time I risk wasting if we don't click when we meet.

Some younger women do not seem to mind going for older men though, so give it a shot. I remember when I was in my early 20s and women would often go for older guys and it was tougher back then, so women going for older guys is definitely is a thing. Plus I hear younger women are easier than older women, so if that's true, maybe that will be a good thing for you then, chance wise.

Women like older men because they typically have established careers and financial security. But that isn't true in my case.
