I last did a marathon in 1997.

I can walk a decent distance….but my running days are probably over. And I’ve gone up to 173 lbs at 5 foot 5.

Jamesy is going to pop in now and call me “obese.”

I’m not any of the types anybody has mentioned that women drool over. Big, teddy bear, muscular, etc.

I’m at the cusp of being an “old man.”

Yet….I still believe I “have a chance” should my wife divorce me.

Some women will most likely drool over you. We don’t all drool over the same thing. I don’t really drool. I quit drooling when I was a small child.

you cannot discount nature. it is natural for people to choose based on externals as that is all most non-psychic folk have to work with. because of that, many otherwise fine people will be bereft of companionship. that is why this is a hellworld according to the ancient hindus. man's inhumanity to man based on the way most of us are wired.

Look at this cute video:

Now, check the ladies’ comments below the video. *Plenty* are commenting that they want both, the guy (who’s handsome, fit and lives on his own) and the squirrel. There is like 100+ comments in a row by ladies all saying they want the guy too.

I bet this guy doesn’t struggle to find potential gfs (or bfs if he’s gay) if he doesn’t already.

I bet also if the guy with the same squirrel was ugly or fat or too skinny; no such comments would have existed, so no it’s not the squirrel’s effect ;).

I remembered recent debates, this exactly what me and Nades mean when said that looks help big time in having dates yet deniers always come and say “no we only care about personality, no looks at all”.

Personally, I would not marry or date a woman if I did not find them attractive.

Many people don’t choose based upon “externals” alone.

as it is hardwired in us, externals are just a shorthand to tell us if a particular mate is a good genetic match for us.

I’m glad we’re all allowed our own opinions and I’m glad at least some of us are open to diversity.

Ppl on the autistic spectrum make up a small proportion of the population.
I am under the impression the context here is humanity in general.
Autistic ppl see the world significantly differently from NTs, and this "needs" to be considered, IMO. 8)

It needs to be considered when I think or post videos?

I guess all the women in the TikTok videos are autistic too then.
I didn't realise it, but hey cool.

To be fair, both men and women on the spectrum seem to have more unique tastes in partners. How often do we see autistics who often want to date other autistics or people with a specific personality?

Wouldn't surprise me if it applies to looks too.

Also, autistics seem to have more problems with weight, appearance and connecting with others which need to be taken into account when autistics slowly form their idea of an ideal partner.

Maybe I should go to the gym for a few months in my life and get ripped just to see people's reaction. My looks are super-average but I do have my 6 feet 4 backing me up. Maybe I'd look like Hulk Hogan or something (wishful thinking).

problem with muscle bulking is that it becomes a lifestyle, you have to maintain that with continued vigorous strength training and proper diet with very little cheating allowed.

A few months honestly makes a difference. Read up on "noob gains". You don't even need to go to the gym too. Just some basic equipment you can use at home is more than enough initially, certainly for a few months. It's worth it anyway because the easiest muscle to gain is the muscle during the first months.

Quite fun really when you noticed a change in the mirror.

Maybe that's why I find actually fit people more attractive than bodybuilders? I really think muscles are for use, not for display.

But, as we argued before, going to a gym twice a week does not turn one into a bodybuilder. Even exercising every day does not.
If done correctly, it just turns one into their physically healthier self.

My daughter said the concern is that a lot of the bodybuilder types have eating disorders or Body Dysmorphia / BDD. I’m not trying to body shame anyone. If a person wants to go to gyms or date someone with a hardbody that’s fine. Each to their own. Im just pointing out the diversity of women’s thoughts on the topic.

But the guy in the video isn't too buff, I doubt he takes any such substances or follow unhealthy diets. I notice the swimmer build is the most desired, while the super buffy type isn't much and in fact a lot of women don't seem to like it.

The consistency is remarkable.

I didn't make a post on "how women think" , I have simply showcased some women's reactions for a particular guy. Don't shoot the messenger ;).

You seem to think it's impossible or that our opinion as autistic women isn't "normal".

What you are trying to prove with these tiktok videos? haven't you noticed that many of these couples are fit? The obese guys seem to be with obese women and fit guys with fit women in THIS VERY VIDEO you shared. It's kinda in favor to what Pepe said.

These 3 guys in the preview pictures are not "big boys" in overweight sense, they're buff (or simply tall and thick, but certainly none of these 3 is obese)!

Indeed. We need to keep in mind this thread seems to be intending to collect feedback from users making observations, ideally casting the widest net possible in the process.

This thread seems to be page after page of the usual members talking about, and digging their heels in with their personal preferences which seems against what the thread is about.

The title of this thread is "The importance of looks" not "*insert users name here* dream man"
