No, not all. But I know plenty who do. I also know plenty of people who watch her show and salivate while doing so over the thought of the things she is making. I know people who have bought her branded products, pots and pans, seasonings, etc trying to emulate her cooking methods.

Me too. What does that say about the modern "obesity crisis", constituted of millions of people? Not a damned thing. At the end of the day, there's no one food culture, there are several, and they're all apparently suffering from the same institutional problems.

I didn't ignore it- I didn't see how my moral judgment of one person with poor habits was relevant to YOUR moral judgement of MILLIONS on the basis of assuming they share them.

Uhh.. What? I didn't say any of those things. I believe if you scroll up you will find you attributed Kurgen's words for mine.

How very Freudian.

I'm not going to answer that, I have no desire to make things personal here. Out of curiosity however, what exactly did you hope to prove had I said yes or no to your question?

Likely that your prejudicial attitude toward fat/poor/ignorant people is so incensed because you have very personal experience with such an individual, probably someone present during your early developmental years.

I just had a hunch and I was wondering if it was right or not. If you don't want to answer, I completely understand. I shouldn't have even asked. I was just curious.

Poor yes, I've already admitted that. But I've also already explained how my being poor vis a vis my parents being poor, did not serve as an impediment to my education or desire to better myself. You can extrapolate from that phrase an answer to another of your suspicions. The rest is just psychiatric babel.

You also still haven't corrected This Post It still has my screen name attached to quotations you took from one of Kurgens Posts.

Maybe the people you judge started at a far more disadvantageous place than you did, or learn more slowly how to break out?

Fixed.

You're going on crash diets. Change your lifestyle to a 1200 calories a day high protein diet and exercise more. By exercise I do not mean yoga or Zumba, but moderate intensity cardio.

And you know everything about that? I've been as high as 35% body fat and I've been down to 7% body fat. I have a slow metabolism, yet I'm not fat.

There's no such thing as a fat gene.

Again, what does this have to do with your average obese person, who DOESN'T live in the wild, who lives in an industrialized nation filled with hormones, chemicals, endocrine disruptors of all kinds, with limited access to healthy foods, limited places to exercise, and limited energy to do it after he or she is done working the 2-3 jobs needed to get by?

It proves that obese people consume to much calories. There are no places in the world where a college graduate has more purchasing power than in the United States. It's the only place in the world where you can get gas for less than a dollar per liter while hardly having a significant oil production per capita and it's the only place in the world where you can drive your own late model Explorer to the social security office. You can get both bone and skinless chicken breasts and tuna fish for next to nothing at Walmart.

So you're saying that your Average Jane Doe is mugged at the local gym?

At my grocery, a small bag of salad costs more than a week's worth of mac and cheese.
Yeah, "my grocery". Much of America is food dessert where there are no groceries for many miles, only gas stations and fast food.

If you get your vitamins, minerals and fiber elsewhere, sallad is just empty calories. Again Walmart has a pound of chicken breast for less than 2 dollars.

I'm surprised it took this long for you to insinuate white/male privilege.

Try living a year in America, you will find that food prices are not so cheap on a living budget. If you are lower or middel class I am in the middel class and my last grocery bill was 119$ so how is that cheap?

You would need to do a BUYING power comparison in order to show the true cost of something.

My relatives in the UK frequently complain about the same thing, especially in regards Gasoline Prices. The difference is, in the US, barring a very few areas, you have no choice but to drive everywhere. Lots of towns don't even have sidewalks, let alone any type of reliable public transportation, if they have any at all. So even if the loaf of bread itself is cheaper, the added cost of not being able to walk to the store and buy it begins adding hidden costs to it.

Just the first one I came across

Grocery bills of 300$ aren't uncommon in Norway. Add that to a gas price of 11,5$ per gallon.

Do you have no choice but to drive where you want to go? Or can you take an alternative mode of transportation? what is your minimum wage?
