Actually, now that I think about it...Doritos dipped in baba ganoush sounds good right about now.




Traditionally it’s a dip for pita bread or baked pita.
But tortillas are pretty close; and doritos’ tortillas are pretty close to baked pita. So yeah, I approve.

A few days ago we were traveling across Tennessee and needed to stop for food. We found this restaurant called Mediterranean Cuisine. Awful location, ugly building, and the sign was just a tarp stretched over the roof. We go in, and about the only thing you could say about the place was that it was clean. We all ordered. I had the lamb. When they served the food, everything looked 5-Star, smelled great, and tasted even better. The ganoush was quite tasty, but I’d already run out of pita. So I dumped the rest of it on the lamb. Maybe I abused the ganoush, but that stuff was like crack and I didn’t really care what anyone thought of me.

So...if you’re ever on I-40 and you end up going through Jackson, it’s right off the interstate and you’ll have no trouble finding it. Don’t let the exterior fool you, it’s awesome.

Oh, and the people who run the place obviously don’t speak English as a first language. It’s all good...they are super nice.

Do you have any guess on which Mediterranean country they were from?

Probably Greek or Near East, like Lebanon or Turkey.

Towards the end of the meal, this girl took over and waited on us, I dunno, like maybe she was trying to hint that we should leave. Which was a shame because I was really, REALLY in the mood for baklava. She was very nice about it, though. Gorgeous girl. Reminds me of other Lebanese girls I’ve seen, but for I all I know she was Greek.

Great place. Things like shawarma and doner are not easily found where I live, certainly not at a price mere mortals can afford. I know one place in town that makes awesome gyros. But this place was selling lamb at street-vendor prices.

I keep saying and saying it, but: VICTIM COMPLEX. You're aware that all a woman has to do these days is point and scream "RAPE!" and whoever's unlucky enough to be on the other side of finger is going to have his life ruined, right? Even if the accusations are proven false, the damage will have been done and it will be almost impossible for him to find work or a place to live, not to mention friends or a significant other. I'm not saying that happens often, but the fact that it can happen is enough to prove your "Boo hoo, nobody cares about the ladies!" crap as false.


You do know that rape is investigated right...its simply false someone can simply point a finger and yell 'rape' to ruin someones life. It has to be investigated before any charges are brought against the potential perpetrator. Even recently a death metal band called Decapitated were accused of rape...and they were not charged because the authorities did not find enough supporting evidence and the accuser had some history of filing false reports of crime. So no, you can't just scream rape and point your finger to ruin someones life...well maybe unless you are someone with a lot of connections with money or sway in the law.

Yes but you have to realize while the police may not press charges it will get to the media, and with the public swaying towards extreme feminism they will automatically believe even if it isn't true, they'll just claim the police are sexist.

Honestly, I find the Bill Cosby case very very very strange, i mean 60 women suddenly woke up after 30 years to talk about what he did to them? I don't really buy the "They were feeling ashamed and scared from a famous and powerful celebrity" and "no one was going to believe them because they were young and he is famous" , some of the accusers are celebs themselves.

These arguments are believable in countries like Iran but not the US; logically, out of 60 persons and their closest relatives, some would have talked much earlier.
