In fact, the Red Pill community has quietly praised LGBT relationships for being mostly comfortable, honest, straightforward, and free of sneak-attack abuse, unlike straight relationships. (Which means the Red Pill is NOT homophobic.)
Oh okay thanks. Well I can't change my sexual orientation around, if that is what you are suggesting?
I acknowledge it exists…I acknowledge the history. I’ve studied the history extensively.
My wife is black. Many of my friends and lovers have been black and other minorities. They’ve relayed their experiences to me. I understand more than you assume I understand. You speaking like you know me, somehow.
But most white people don’t benefit from it these days. Would you say a white person working at Walmart, with no medical benefits, having to raise kids, benefits from being white?
I’m not going to ask a struggling person to “check his/her privilege.”
Things still are still pretty sh***y for black people even here in Queens. Last I heard, there's still plenty of discrimination against black people by landlords and realtors. And most of the black neighborhoods are seriously inconvenient in terms of access to supermarkets, banks, etc. -- a relic of the days of "redlining."
A white person working at Rite-Aid (do we have ANY Walmarts around here???) doesn't gain much if any benefit from this situation, but is still better off in some ways, such as being less likely to be hassled by cops (at least until VERY recently, maybe).

I’ve always maintained what you said. And I will continue to.
I’ve never denied that things are pretty sh***y sometimes for black people in Queens. I’d be an idiot if I denied this.
Minorities are certainly hassled more by cops than white people…..though I’ve been hassled by cops. I was almost arrested once for “running while white in a black neighborhood.” I was running. I never went into a building, period, while I was accused of running into a building to buy drugs. I had to show work ID. If I had no ID, I would have been arrested.

Idiots or not, quite a few white people do deny this, or make excuses for it, or just don't care. Would it be fair to say that those white people are blinded by (relative) privilege?
Yikes! How long ago did this happen to you?
I personally have never (yet) been hassled by cops, but I am aware that autistic people are another category of people who are disproportionately likely to get harassed by cops, due to unusual body language.

To ironpony:
There are some important messages in this thread, by various people, that I suspect you might have missed, starting here on page 3, and going down to the bottom of that page.

Yes…those people are blinded, yes, to reality.
This happened about 1995-1996 by Prospect Park in Brooklyn—the “bad side” of it, in Flatbush.
I was also taken into a police van once in Downtown Brooklyn, circa 1988-1989, because there was a “bulge” in my sweatpants. My keys were mistaken for a gun.

A note on "red pill": It is okay to point out unhealthy behaviors like crappy tests or double standards. It is not okay to accuse every member of a gender of doing it. Similarily, e.g. accusing all men of being rapists would have been an outrageous sweeping attack (I know there are feminists who do and this branch of feminism is not allowed here). There are healthy heterosexual relationships and one of their common traits is lack of such behaviors. Mistaking a relationship red flag with a general rule is both unfair and offensive (sweeping attack). |

Never laugh again...at *anything./k*...*ever again*!

Interesting thread I wasn't going to get involved with, initially.
magz's comment made me change that. lol
Is this the same gorgeous woman, many years younger than you, that you have been talking about for quite a while?
Is she the woman who wasn't adventurous enough for you in the bedroom, at one point?

Yeah it's her. She has gotten a lot better in the bedroom though for a while now though.
In the short term it probably won't be an issue as it sounds like you two are doing fine. It may become an issue as you travel along the relationship over the long term. But just keep an eye on it.

Kudos.

Would it be reasonable to say it was your sexual prowess that had something to do with her change of attitude?
If so, are you interested in having a coffee with me some time?

Perhaps. In what way though likely? I didn't think anything changed on my end.
I'm also trying to understand her perspective on this too. For example, she has a problem with white privileged people to a degree it seems, but she says she doesn't like the trucker convoy protesters, because they are white and privileged according to her.
But they are truckdrivers. How are people with blue collar truck driving jobs, who have to unload in the freezing cold winter, privileged? And the driver's are protesting against not only the vaccine mandate but other crappy working conditions made by their companies as well. Makes me wonder why she sets the bar for what counts as privileged, so low...
