I just turned 40 last month. I am being evaluated for AS currently. I live in South Florida (USA).

My interests are politics (conservative), news, reality tv shows, & online games.

I am looking for a woman (I am a guy). I am 5'8" tall & about 185 pounds.

Other stuff I like is music (rock/country/sinatra), movies (old/mafia/80s comedies), travelling,
hiking, camping, parks, nature preserves, etc.

I have never dated anyone because I have never met anyone with whom there was enough mutual interest. If I was to date someone, it should be noted that I dislike tradition gender roles (I would like to think this is all because I am so progressive despite my hyper conservative surroundings; however, I do fail at the traditional role of a female and that may very well have something to do with my disdain for gender stereotypes.)
As for the AS thing- I am currently being evaluated. Thus far, the doctor has only confirmed I lack an understanding of human emotions to an extreme... I can not think of anything else to say on the subject.
I would be interested in someone with at least a few shared interests. I realize this is a site for people with ASDs, but someone with better social skills and emotional understanding than me would probably be good. Honesty, loyalty, patients, compassion, good hygiene, and a lack of wearing strongly scented anything are musts. I strongly prefer someone close to my own age and within a day's driving distance. I find I get along much better with people who are different from me in personality than with those who are extremely similar. Considering I have never dated anyone, I do not know if dating someone with AS or dating a NT would be better. I imagine, with the variety in human personalities, I could possibly find people I am compatable with who are AS or NT.

ANYONE can PM me anytime. Why be so shy in the first place. Good looking 18 year old females have an advantage, though, but only in theory...

Hey, no harm in trying this, right?

I like computers, gadgets, and programming. I collect computers and have loads of gadgets. I want to be rich one day and am constantly working on some sort of business venture. I also like cars, and I watch Top Gear regularly (and I have a lot of Top Gear merchandise too).

I've also recently developed an interest in psychology, and have a fascination with working out how things work (whether it be the human brain, a computer program, or whatever).

My hobbies include poetry, programming, business, watching TV, collecting and playing with computers, and spending hours flapping my hands :D

I have brown hair and brown eyes, and am fairly tall.

I'm 15 (16 soon), male, straight, and from the UK.

I'm 35, male, in Chicago. I own my own company, I'm pretty successful, but I don't do great in social settings.
I have AS.
I can carry a conversation, but I'm more comfortable in smaller gatherings with familiar faces.
I'm not the bar type, I don't do well with parties, and large gatherings, and it's a bit tough to meet someone.
And no opportunities have come up at work either.
I have brown hair, green eyes, somewhat heavy set, tattoos(but nothing on the face, neck or hands). I am good looking, I like to have fun, people who
know me would say I have a pretty good sense of humor.
My biggest interest is movies, When I am not working, I love to take time off, relax, have a nice dinner, and go to the movies, or watch movies at my place. I like sci fi, horror, and action the most. I love 80's movies like Blade Runner and Predator. Last weekend, I went out to the movies and saw Clash of the Titans 3-D, that's the kind of stuff I like.

Obviously the most ideal situation would be to meet someone in Chicago, but I'm also not against meeting people outside of Chicago, PM if you are looking for a relationship, wherever you are, there is more to me than just going to the movies obviously, but I'd like to save the rest so we have something to talk about.

thought i'd give this a go

yeah i'm male 27. live in london

i'm currently studying sound arts and design at LCC. the course is cool but really want a job: not only to meet people but to prove a point of independance to myself and others. the main perks for studying was doing it on the cheap. also i really want to travel next year. i feel i need to also escape and go travelling somewhere next year.

other than that i'm into taking pictures, field recordings, painting, drawing, getting out on the bike, the allotment, music listening, sound composition (with DAW), alternative theatre and dance shows in london, london markets (shoreditch, greenwich - before the developers ruined the latter)

i am really into visual arts: I haven't been to the tate or the likes of in years because of my current commitments; it would be great to go with someone ;) i used to live in france from the age of 5 to 14 and go back there regularly to see old buddies. i think i'm lucky to know two countries and speak two languages switching between two cultures is quite difficult for someone like me (with the "predicament" that made me join this site)

are there any women with AS in London (or even in the UK in general)?

Female
Brown hair/eyes
5'2.5"
Live in GTA, ON, Canada

Am(apparently according to a shrink I saw who specializes in AS/ASD's) only mildly exspressive of my AS traits which are secondary to a brain injury.

Interests include music, currently taking vocal lessons from my cousin, an Honours BA Music Tecnician out of Brunell University. Volunteer at a stable for therapeutic riding and looking at starting a four phase groom's apprentice certificate to become a working student in the equine industry to ultimately become a horse trainer.

Very social and outgoing. Love going to artistic and cultural venues, galleries, opera(though have only see the movie theater/met opera simulcast series not actually a live opera), plays/musicals, concerts or even just a good old fashioned flick.

Looking for some one who is outgoing but still enjoys a night at home now and again. Lover of animala is a must, as I own two dogs. someone who's athletics or even just likes to go walking every now and again would be nice. I would love someone who knows computers as it would potentially save me about $80 whenever I should need it reprogrammed. ;) More generally I just really want someone who will take me as I am, good days, bad days, highs, lows, meltdowns(which are apparently reactive, what ever that means) and all.

I am Female
18 years old
brownish redish hair
blue eyes
location PA, USA

I have AS and ADHD. I can be really shy at times and a real hyper pain in the butt any other time. I currently attend HACC for phlebotomy.

I enjoy reading, watching movies, going for walks, and just being me.

I am looking for someone that enjoys some of the same things I do. I would like to hopefully find someone that enjoys constant communication, animals (especially cats), and someone that is very caring and understanding. :)

Even though, I'm 34 and time is running out for me to find a girlfriend I've always thought that while there is life there is hope!

I'll give it a try then.

My name is Gavin, I'm Male, 34 years of age and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I am interested in books(mainly history, American Presidents and sporting facts and figures), computers and movies. When I am relaxed I am quite friendly and outgoing. In all honesty I am quite average looking, but my basic self-hygiene skills are pretty good. I like having conversations, about my favourite subjects, but when it comes to inconsequential chit-chat count me out!

The female I am looking for must be compassionate, intelligent, understanding and most importantly they must not be prejudiced against people with disabilities. Intolerance, especially by women against people with disabilities I've never been able to stand. As for age around 28 years to 34 years of age would be suitable. As for physical appearance, this is not important. What's important to me is a person's character. Decency, honesty and not being judgmental are the most important qualities a future girlfriend will have. In his August 1963 'I Have A Dream' speech Martin Luther King Junior said he hoped his children will be judged by the content of their character not by the colour of their skin. I too have a dream, that people with disabilities will be judged one day by their character and not by their appearance.

While, I haven't got any great hope of finding anyone out there. This forum gives me a chance however slim it is, maybe of hopefully finding someone out there like me. It was worth a try :!:

The average male lives to mid to upper 70's. And you say you're and running out of time. Dude, you haven't even reached your midway through your life yet.

My last gf was a combination of Caucasian, African-American, and Native-American thrown into one, so the idea of culture doesn't bother me. If I lived closer in the Chicago suburbs and I was closer to your age, I'd consider contacting you. Best wishes to you. Also, you might want to consider using a spell checker before posting an ad :D
