And just who gives them a hard time with relationships, eh? Hint: It isn't their video games. ;)
i suppose it is their female counterparts, who are having an equally hard time.

Exactly.

The fault, dear Vexus, is not in our relationships, but in ourselves...

The sexism and female objectification in this made me feel physically sick. I'm reminded of why I stopped frequenting L&D. As interesting as some of the discussions are, there's only so much sexism one can take.

I am a human being, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a cousin, a PERSON - not some sort of overpriced object whose sole purpose is to be "obtained" for the use of a man.

This is sick. I am disgusted that so many comments here seem to support this article. Whatever good, useful, or true observations this article has made are overshadowed by its disgusting dehumanization of women.

As an aside, I'm sure my close male friends would disagree that my social companionship AS A FRIEND is worth nothing simply because I am female and therefore only exist to males as a potential mate.

Sunshower?

Why don't you write the kind of article that you would like to read?

Just a suggestion, mind you...

Er... I don't really get the point of this comment. Are you trying to imply that I should write an article reflecting my own personal opinion about current human dating patterns and mating patterns? I would have to do a lot of research before I could do that, as it's a big field and I would need all the correct facts before formalizing a final opinion.

If you're implying that I shouldn't read articles that I disagree with, then isn't that kind of stupid? Especially stupid as most of the time one doesn't know whether an article is discriminatory until AFTER reading said article.

In my opinion, this article is dangerous. Under the guise of making statements that seem perfectly reasonable, it is influencing the reader with discriminatory underlying tones and female dehumanization.

I'm not denying there are underlying problems with the current dating culture. My objection to the article is not about that.

And the women that dehumanise men here ? have you seen all the aspie women here that want a materially sucessful man, if these women are so strong and independent they should earn their own way.

You can't have it both ways.

Find me an aspie women that doesn't want a materially successful man and I will find you a dodo

Yes, that's what I'm suggesting.

Please do not infer an insult where none were expressed or implied.

The only cure for such ignorance (in the article) is education. That's why I made my suggestion.

Then please stand up and make your case known. Just make it known in a logical and forthright manner that can not be easily refuted, that's all.

me. i've said it so many times on the forum i am kind of tired of repeating it. i supported my husband for many years while he provided me with emotional support, took care of the house, and looked after our daughter. and MANY other women on here have agreed with me. many of us don't give a crap about money because we earn our own dollars.
