Nope, many guys get scared off because she's a crazy exhibitionist. :P

I always pictured those guys saying "Hurray! Boobies!"

They do. Then they get scared off. I think that's how it works. But I'm almost positive that any straight guy says (even if it's in his head) "Hooray! Boobies!" whenever he sees some.

Based on OKTrends, you can tell that the number of girls who find a shirtless pic offensive is less than the number of girls who would love to reply to a guy with a shirtless pic.

And this exactly how my experience was, in fact the few girls who found my shirtless pic offensive are the same girls who never messaged or replied to me when I had a modest geeky-style clothed profile pic.

So where's the loss here? not much.

And please, pre-spare me the quality over quantity speech, the girls being interested in me there are not at all the empty-headed shallow girls.

Surprisingly, MOST of them are well-educated liberal feminists (strongest prospects: a feminist journalist with geeky interests living in beirut , an atheist lebanese architect, a rebellious atheist egyptian who lived in Beirut before , an extremely liberal mexican into the Levant political science who visited the region and Lebanon several times and will again....etc), the ones who found my pic offensive were more of the conservative religious type.

Yes, maybe there are many girls like you that would skip a guy because of his shirtless pic, but that doesn't automatically mean that they would message/reply him if he had a normal pic, in fact it's not likely they would since from what i gather here, girls are very selective in replying/messaging.

ON THE OTHER HAND, a lot of girls would get a spark while seeing a shirtless pic and because of this spark they'd message/reply him, something that wouldn't happen if the same guy had a normal pic. ;)

Yes, I have certainly read with interest your success with the shirtless pic.

Most of my female friends would be turned off by that sort of pic (btw I have not seen YOUR pic, I'm talking about any guy). I do have one friend who is very smart, attractive, etc. etc. who probably would go for it. I also consider her somewhat naive in the dating world, and worry a bit about the sort of guy she might hook up with by the way I have seen her browse profiles on Oasis. *shrug*

Not having a topless pic certainly doesn't guarantee a reply from me. In fact, I'm extremely fussy. But a topless pic gives a guy much less chance than no topless pic. I have AS, so of course I am not a typical female. It appears that the typical female likes to see the shirt off. Cool.

I heard a lot of such claims online by females, claiming that all or most of their female friends would be turn off by that sort of pic.

Hmm

Are you certain of that, yellow? Are you all certain of this?

You have to realize that what people claim isn't the same what they really do behind the doors.

I can guarantee you that some of those who claim they're turned off, would drool or fap over some shirtless guy on the screen (or did when they were singles) :p.

Frankly, my first reaction would be "are they real?"

Then I might message her asking her that.

I do tend to have a very particulat type of friend, as I can't tolerate many people. As I said, it seems typical females are into it. And typical females are more common than my type of friend, so it makes sense that the topless pic would work. Just won't work on us awesome chicks ;)

Exactly. I was in a room full of guys once, and all of them denied watching porn. Why? Because of social convention - a gay guy was leading the conversation and started by saying porn was weird and disgusting. It's true - even if they don't realize it - that women are attracted to shirtless men much more than they are to men wearing normal clothes. Apparently, tattoos work nicely along with that.

Drool or fap, probably.
Talk to? That's a dfiferent story.
There's a difference between masturbation material and relationship material.

LOL yea right.

You're wrong, I am telling you, and i don't feel like to share regarding this....

But

If the drooling material is reachable then why wouldn't they try? it's totally illogical to not to.
