On the otherhand (pun fully intended) there are some right weirdos on my visitors list. I count at least half a dozen casual sex/swinger types.

I should send them a message with a file of me singing this

I wanna be like you

lol that's a wicked song! i haven't heard that in many years.

i wonder why you attract women like that? Jono, what sorts of women visit your profile? the same types, or different?

They are mostly intelligent women who seem to like the fact that I'm doing a PhD in physics. Although I haven't had too many new visitors lately. Also, I get the feeling I'm messing up somehow since I've never really had a long conversation with them via messaging.

Using the IM feature? I'd find it a bit weird using that myself. But then I'm new to these whole sites and how they operate.

Apart from the people after casual encounters 8O

I tend to get artists, students, teachers and a mathamatician turned neurologist.

And some weirdo's

A few asian women as well

I have no idea what to read into that.

I think you need better pictures - I can see "aspie face" in your expressions. My suggestion, go out with a friend and have him/her snap pictures of you in the moment.

Look at my profile, and I admit I have a little "aspie face" in my bike pic, I had someone take my pics with a Canon EOS DSLR with a "fast" - meaning F2.8 or lower aperture lens, an iPhone 4 and my trusty old Canon PowerShot A610. Bokeh - or a blurred background with an DSLR's more shallow depth of field is sexy.

I need a new profile pic as well. I've got an atomic explosion going off in my face at the moment. Well that and another one of me doing a cousin it impression.

Note to self to charge the digital camera battery tomorrow morning

yes, the OKCupid blog explains that about the aperture too - it gives a more intimate quality. it makes people look more appealing on a certain level.

No, I haven't really used the IM feature at all. I was talking about the normal messaging feature.

Just a question, what is the "aspie face" supposed to look like? I had a friend take those pictures of me in the office and I thought they were much better than the original picture I used. At least they had me smiling.

One of those 4 women replied, saying she started a business in graphic and fashion design. I've just replied back asking her if she likes the work, judging that it's new.

Flat facial expression or the "deer in the headlights" gaze.

And good job!
